Prince Harry and Meghan moved on from the royal family

Prince Harry and Meghan stunned the world with their January 2020 announcement that they planned to “step back” as members of the royal family in hopes of escaping the constant media scrutiny they suffered.

The queen gave her blessing, offering a statement in support of their decision and wishing them the best on their new journey.

Prince William and Kate moved on from the drama

After Meghan and Harry made the move to Canada with Archie, royal fans shifted their focus to Prince William and Kate, as they wondered how they would manage after this giant family shakeup.

The Cambridges have maintained business as usual, not seeming to miss a beat with their royal engagements and looking to be handling the shift quite well.

Analyzing their February visit to Mumbles in South Wales, energy reader Alison Ward explained to Express that the Cambridges “are on the same page,” but she detected some stress.

“The stress of recent times is subtly showing in their eyes, especially Kate but they know where they are going and what they wish to achieve,” Ward noted.

Kate appears to feel a weight off her shoulders

If she does feel any bit of stress by the exit drama, there’s also a sense of relief in the way Kate carries herself. In particular, Kate was seen looking very happy and at ease during the BAFTAs.

“It has been a perfect storm for the Royal Family lately but Kate has now taken on the biggest power position in the entire Firm,” body language expert Judi James told The Mirror.

James continued: “She’s the new matriarch because while the Queen is strong, she’s getting older and needs that kind of support from someone she can trust.”

Kate’s confidence has been on display

The duchess has definitely shown an evolution from her early days with William, when she seemed less comfortable as she was adjusting to the spotlight. “In the early days, she would hide herself in William’s shadow,” James noted, adding, “but it was clear from her appearance at the BAFTAs that all of that has totally changed. She’s not remotely dependent on him any more.”

James further noted that Kate’s confidence has allowed her and William to reach a “power couple mode” status, adding it’s “the path Harry and Meghan were meant to take, but Kate looks incredibly at ease in this new role.”

Further, royal expert and author Ingrid Seward shared the relief Kate may be experiencing since Prince Harry and Meghan left the royal family. “The recent fall-out between Harry and William would have been draining for her, so she’s probably feeling a huge weight off her shoulders that she doesn’t have to worry about Meghan’s influence any more.”

Kate also is enjoying her personal interests as two of her children are in school and she now has time to do things that bring her satisfaction, such as designing a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show.

“In earlier years, she always had to toe the line. Now she can pursue her own interests more freely,” Seward shared.
