Melissa Mitas has spent her career thus far in several facets of communications, including being published in print, online, and in broadcast. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication from William Paterson University. Melissa joined the Showbiz Cheat Sheet team in 2019, and focuses her coverage on classic TV shows, game show and news personalities, and actors including Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., and Leonardo DiCaprio. Her background in interviewing, research, and editing helps her to create original content and speak with important figures in the entertainment industry.
Melissa spends much of her free time reading anything she can get her hands on, which often informs her coverage for Showbiz readers. She has a fondness for Carolyn Keene, a favorite author of her childhood, and continues to be inspired by the works of Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, David Rosenfelt, and Maeve Binchy. She is a member of the William Paterson University Alumni Association, and in a previous career path spearheaded the social media campaigns for Rutgers University’s School of Communication and Information.
