’Married at First Sight’: Lindsay Clashes With Mark When He Says He Wants to ‘Go Slow’ — After They Consummated Their Marriage
The honeymoon might be over for Lindsay and Mark from Married at First Sight. The Boston couple hit it off after they met for the first time at the altar. And Mark impressed Lindsay after he stood up to her following a conflict with fellow season 14 participant Olajuwon on the flight to Puerto Rico. But a teaser for the Feb. 2 episode of the Lifetime reality series hints that trouble is on the horizon for the pair.
Mark tells Lindsay he doesn’t want to get too ‘lovey-dovey’ in the next episode of ‘Married at First Sight’
In the clip, which was shared on Twitter, Mark and Lindsay sit down for what’s supposed to be a romantic dinner. But the mood is anything but romantic as the two start to talk.
“I don’t want to get too, too lovey-dovey because we literally just met,” he says to his wife. “And there’s so many things that are going on and it has to flow organically.”
He elaborates on his feelings during a confessional interview.
“I just want us to go slow so that we build on this momentum of us together,” he explains.
Lindsay is confused by Mark’s desire to pull back on their relationship
Mark might want to take things slow, but Lindsay is surprised by the sudden shift in his attitude.
“It’s just a little confusing for me to hear you say, ‘Oh, I want to take it slower’ when you’re the first one who wanted to jump all in,” she says. She tells him that if he wants her to slow down, then he need to do the same himself.
Another reason Lindsay is baffled by Mark’s desire to put the brakes on their relationship? They already had sex.
“Why would you plan a romantic dinner with me and then say, ‘I want to pull back’? Why would we have consummated our marriage?” she says in an interview. “If this is your idea of a romantic dinner, never plan one again for me. Ever.”
Lindsay says she’s ‘furious’ with Mark in ‘Married at First Sight’ teaser
Fans will have to watch the next episode of Married at First Sight to see what really went down between Lindsay and Mark. But it looks like the dinner ends with the two spending the night apart.
“Nope, I don’t want to talk to you right now,” she says to her husband when they’re back in their hotel room. “I’m furious.”
The clip ends with Mark walking out of the room and Lindsay shutting the door to the bedroom. Will they be able to move forward following their argument? Find out when new episodes of Married at First Sight Season 14 air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
