The Marvel Phase 4 movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has some big plans for Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) to meet some new and old faces. And a new alleged Doctor Strange 2 leak claims Iron Man will appear with a classic Marvel Comics look. With Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), aka Iron Man, sacrificing himself in Avengers: Endgame, a big hole was left in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And fans hope to see it filled somehow.

The alleged ‘Doctor Strange 2’ leak teases a new Iron Man

One massive rumor surrounding Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is that Tom Cruise will play an Iron Man variant from another universe. More theories suspect Ryan Reynolds will return as Deadpool and Patrick Stewart will reprise his Charles Xavier role.

However, the latest alleged Doctor Strange 2 leak claims that Iron Man will appear with a classic Marvel Comics look. But the leak teases that it might not be in the way fans expect.

Moth Culture, a popular media insider and leak account, tweeted that a gold suit Iron Man would cameo “but only for a few seconds.”

“The leak goes on to add that this Iron Man will not take place in the battle with Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) or the Illuminati Trial, both sequences that have been hinted at in the last trailer of the film,” Hindustan Times reported.

The ‘Doctor Strange 2’ leak features an existing Iron Man color scheme

Marvel Comics debuted Iron Man in Tales of Suspense #39 in a gray suit of armor. However, that color scheme only lasted one issue. Stan Lee did not like the lead-colored suit and wanted it gold instead.

Iron Man 3 picked up on that color scheme, as well. When Tony Stark told JARVIS to activate the House Party Protocol, this sent the legion of suits he built since Avengers in 2012 to help him and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) defeat Aldrich Killian. The Iron Man Mark XXI, codenamed Midas, retained the slick MCU Iron Man design but incorporated full plate gold colors.

How reliable is the ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ rumor?

Marvel movies have become a breeding ground for rumors and leaks. Look no further than Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man: No Way Home when the internet cracked the Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire cameos.

But knowing which information is true or false is next to impossible.

Until the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness release date on May 6, 2022, the alleged Doctor Strange 2 leak about Iron Man should be taken with a grain of salt. And with Stephen Strange diving into the multiverse, anything remains a possibility.
