The 1 Royal Who Will Never Forgive Prince Harry or Allow Him Back Into the Family (It’s Not Prince William or Kate)
It seems like so long ago now when Prince Harry was a working royal and always seen smiling and laughing in photos with his family. In 2020, the prince and Megan Markle decided to step down from their royal duties. And after that shock wore off, the duke and duchess surprised everyone again with a big televised interview in which they painted some of Harry’s relatives and the “institution” in a terrible light.
Now, fast forward to the present day, and there are reports that even with all the Duke of Sussex has said and done most of the royals would be able to forgive him, except for one person.
Some royals likely willing to forgive Prince Harry
It’s often been reported that the one family member who is very open to a reconciliation with Prince Harry and would welcome him back into the royal fold is King Charles.
Harry is his son after all and he obviously still loves him, he just doesn’t love the things the duke put out there for public consumption. But if it came down to it, the king would almost certainly forgive his youngest child.
Harry’s sibling, Prince William, would be a harder sell but many believe just because things between them are frosty right now and communication is non-existent, it may not always be that way.
A source close to the Prince of Wales told The Daily Beast that William is still extremely angry over the things Harry said about him and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) in interviews as well as in the Netflix documentary and the claims he made in Spare. However, many royal watchers are hopeful that one day, even if it’s years down the line, the princes will be able to get together and agree on ending their feud instead of keeping it up.
But even if William were to forgive Harry because he is his brother, there’s one royal who won’t be as forgiving.
The 1 royal who wouldn’t welcome Prince Harry back
The family member who reportedly isn’t interested in any sort of reconciliation with the Duke of Sussex is King Charles’ wife, Queen Camilla (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles). That’s because she has taken a public bashing from Harry in his memoir Spare and in his televised interviews when the prince described her as “dangerous” and a “villain.”
In his 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper, Harry said that his stepmother was “dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press … and with her, on the way to being queen consort, there was gonna be people or bodies left in the street because of that.”
Moreover, in one passage of his book the prince wrote: “I had complex feelings about gaining a stepparent, who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”
Speaking to Closer Magazine, an insider said: “Not everyone is keen on that idea, but Camilla is opposed to Harry making any sort of return, even for a friendly visit. She doesn’t want to come face to face with him, let alone show him any kind of forgiveness or mercy. It’s her belief that any interaction King Charles has with him is only going to be bad for his health and for the family as a whole.”
The insider added that Camilla thinks Harry is truly a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” who only brings “stress and drama” to situations.
