 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 is on the way. Fans are so close to getting the third installment of the TLC show. Since the end of season 2, fans have been clamoring for details about what would come next. Now, details about the first two episodes of season 3 have been released and it’s not looking great for Tammy and Amy Slaton.

Details on ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3 episode 1 and 2

Recently, the summaries for episodes 1 and 2 of 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 were released. Episode 1 gets right to the drama directly out of the gate.

“With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes a life-altering decision; Amy finally gets a taste of the life she’s always wanted, but, unfortunately, it’s short-lived; an emergency surgery has repercussions for Chris,” the first synopsis reads.

Then, in episode two, Tammy’s short-lived stint in rehab is already over.

“Tammy is back from rehab, and Amy kisses her freedom goodbye as she comes to a decision regarding her sister; with his bariatric surgery on the line, Chris tries to shed the weight he’s gained but is shocked when he and Tammy step on the scale,” the second summary says.

Where did season 2 end?

It’s been months since 1000-lb Sisters Season 2 wrapped, so some fans might be in need of a refresher. At the end of season 2, Tammy was struggling in her weight loss. In her final weigh-in, she had actually gained weight and she finally admitted to having an addiction to food. Amy and Michael Halterman were navigating life as new parents when the cameras stopped filming.

‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3

This isn’t the first time TLC has given fans a look into what season 3 will hold. Before the trailer for the new season dropped, the network released a summary for the season. Tammy’s stint in rehab was mentioned in greater detail, as well as a new relationship.

“With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes the game-changing decision to check herself into rehab for food addiction, but her stay there may be short-lived as she considers the best way to reach her goals. She also appears to be talking to a new love interest, which is cause for concern for her family, as relationships have hindered Tammy’s progress in the past,” the season’s synopsis reads.

Amy and Chris Combs’ struggles were also mentioned.

“Amy is dealing with her own stress, and while her dreams came true when she became a mom to son Gage, balancing the demands of motherhood with her own weight-loss goals may prove to be impossible,” the summary continues. “Meanwhile, the sisters’ brother Chris had reached the goal Dr. Smith set for him to be eligible for bariatric surgery but after a setback following a procedure to remove a boil from his leg, he fears he has blown his chances for life-saving surgery. Facing another check-up with their doctor, Tammy and Chris must both face the music and see whether their progress qualifies them for weight-loss surgery. “
