“When I got here, I weighed 689 pounds,” she tells the camera during her eight-week weigh-in. “Dr. Smith wants me to lose 100 pounds while I’m here. I’ve worked so hard, and I just don’t know if it’s going to pay off.”

Why did Tammy Slaton leave rehab?
Despite her major progress, Tammy decides that she wants to go home in the premiere episode of 1000-lb Sisters Season 3.
“I’m homesick,” Tammy says during her meeting with Kelly Yarborogh, an administrator at the facility.
“I miss my bed, I miss my family. So, I think I’m ready to go. I want to try to get the rest of the weight off on my own.”
Yarborogh tries to make Tammy reconsider.
“Tammy, are you sure that you’re ready to go home, on your own, without support, and face all the temptations when you get there by yourself?” she asks.
“I know I’m supposed to lose 100 lbs., but 60 is a great start,” Tammy tells the cameras. “I’ve been here long enough, I’ve seen what to do. I just gotta do it.”
“You have to get that meal prep and not order out and stay in your calorie count diet,” Yarborogh explains.
Tammy initially promises that if she does order out, it will be just one burger and nothing else. But when Tammy says that she would order one burger a day, Yarborogh gets concerned.
“See I worry about that part,” Yarborogh tells Tammy. “You know, ordering out is going to be the biggest obstacle that I think you’re going to have.”
“I think if Tammy were to stay we could continue giving her the tools to not order out, to continue just to stick to her diet a little bit longer,” Yarborogh tells the camera. “I worry about Tammy when there’s not somebody there to make those good decisions.”
