How can you watch episode 1 of ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3?

The first episode of 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 is actually already available on discovery+ for some people. So, if you have a subscription to the app, all you have to do is go to the 1000-lb Sisters series page and press play. However, this may not be true for every location.

“I’m in the UK, it was there for me last night and allowed me to watch the whole episode,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

Another fan in the UK reported being able to see the show and gave people in other locations a brief synopsis on the episode.

“I saw it in the UK,” the user wrote. “Tammy voluntarily goes to an assisted living rehab, where she loses 60 pounds in eight weeks, just over half her target. She tipped the scales at 680 when she went in – I think, it was 12 hours ago when I saw it!

“She then demands to go home, as she’s homesick,” the person continued. “On her checkout interview they warn her about getting food delivered – she promises she will be good and only get the burger, no fries, and not more than once a week! Clearly, rehab has done nothing to change her habits, but she is definitely more positive, determined, and motivated at the start of this season compared to the end of the last one.”

People from other locations reported not seeing the show available on their app.

Where did last season leave off?

When we last saw Tammy and Amy on 1000-lb Sisters, the women were in completely different places. Amy had had bariatric surgery and given birth to her first child, Gage. Though weight loss was still important to Amy, her focus was more on Gage than anything else. Tammy, on the other hand, had gained weight. By the end of the season, she was further from getting bariatric surgery than she had ever been and she finally admitted to having a food addiction.

Even if the first episode of season 3 is not available in your city just yet, TLC has provided a synopsis for this season so you can know what to expect.

“With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes the game-changing decision to check herself into rehab for food addiction, but her stay there may be short-lived as she considers the best way to reach her goals. She also appears to be talking to a new love interest, which is cause for concern for her family, as relationships have hindered Tammy’s progress in the past,” the season’s synopsis reads.

“Amy is dealing with her own stress, and while her dreams came true when she became a mom to son Gage, balancing the demands of motherhood with her own weight-loss goals may prove to be impossible,” the summary continues. “Meanwhile, the sisters’ brother Chris had reached the goal Dr. Smith set for him to be eligible for bariatric surgery but after a setback following a procedure to remove a boil from his leg, he fears he has blown his chances for life-saving surgery.”
