‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Spoilers: Tammy Slaton and Tisa Get Into Massive Argument in New Episode
Tammy Slaton recently agreed to get a home health nurse on 1000-lb Sisters. Throughout the first two seasons of the TLC show, Tammy struggled to stay on track with her diet and workouts. Now, Tisa, the new nurse, is there to help Tammy stay focused. But in a preview for an upcoming episode, it seems Tisa may have gotten in over her head with Tammy.
Tammy Slaton and Tisa get into an argument on ‘1000-lb Sisters’
Tisa was hired to help Tammy around the house and keep her mobile. In the preview for an upcoming episode, Tisa realizes that she may have a harder time fulfilling the second half of her job than she expected.
“What are we going to do today?” Tisa asks Tammy during the episode. “The weather is good outside today. Let’s think about that walk.”
“You’re crazy,” Tammy responds.
“Today, my goal is to try to get her out of that wheelchair and walk to that mailbox because Amy asked me to push her and I want her to try,” Tisa tells the cameras.
She continues, saying that she understands where Tammy is coming from.
“I want her to try,” Tisa says. “But I think she’s at a point where she’s just scared and maybe a little embarrassed if she gets tired. But it’s very important for her to do some kind of mobility.”
But Tammy refuses to even attempt to walk to the mailbox.
“I’m not going outside,” Tammy says before ignoring Tisa.
“If you’re thinking that you can’t do it, I’m thinking that you can and I know you can,” Tisa tries to encourage Tammy. “What are you gonna do if we go to the swimming pool? You gonna have to get out and walk. We might as well prepare ourselves for that walk now.”
‘I’m not feeling up to it,” Tammy tells the cameras. “Don’t try no more. I gave you my answer. Don’t push the issue. That’s gone make me shut down more.”
‘1000-lb Sisters’ fans worry about Tisa
Tisa has been doing her best to help Tammy, but fans worry that Tammy and Amy Slaton will run the nurse off.
“Place your bets,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “She seems cool and easygoing and I think she’s building a good rapport with Tammy, but we know her client won’t stay on good behavior for long, and everyone has their limits.”
“I feel like Amy will be the one to make her quit or fire her,” another commenter said. “So far, Tisa seems able to deal with Tammy and keep Tammy from getting really mad. But I guess Tisa’s only been there for a couple of weeks. Amy’s the one who seems to have a problem with Tisa, thinking Tisa’s not doing enough.”
Tammy gained more weight
When Tammy was in rehab, she lost 60 pounds. But since coming out, she has had trouble exercising and sticking to her diet. In the upcoming episode, she finds out just how far she has backslid with her progress.
At her check-in, Tammy learns she weighs 639 pounds, which is 15 more than her last weigh-in.
“I gained weight back,” she says in a preview obtained by People. “I’m not happy about it. I hate it. I hate it.”
Her brother, Chris Combs, is also frustrated at her lack of progress.
“This s—‘s unbelievable,” he says. “Tammy gained about 15 lbs. than what it was three weeks ago, so it sucks. She’s pissing precious time away that she really ain’t got.”
