‘1000-Lb Sisters’: Tammy Slaton Reveals if She’s Engaged After Being Cornered by Family

Tammy Slaton’s love life has been a major topic of conversation throughout the seasons of 1000-lb Sisters. In Season 2 of the TLC show, she dated a man who had no interest in helping her lose weight. Since then, her family has been concerned about the type of men that Slaton brings into her life. Now, rumors have been swirling that Slaton is engaged to her new boyfriend, Phillip. In this week’s episode, Slaton finally answered the questions everyone had been wondering.

Tammy Slaton’s family doesn’t trust her boyfriend

After seeing Phillip and Tammy’s social media accounts and how they were both posting ring emojis, some of Slaton’s family members wanted answers. When Chris Combs told Slaton he had something he wanted to talk to her about, she immediately shut him down.

“If it’s about my boyfriend then y’all can leave,” Slaton said “I don’t wanna hear none of it.’

“Well, I got concerns that I’m gonna express,” Combs said anyway. He went on to tell Slaton that when she first came home from rehab, she seemed motivated to lose the weight, but now it seemed she had lost that “fire to lose weight.”

Combs then brought up how Phillip states on his social media accounts that he would leave a woman if she ever got under 300 pounds. But Slaton assured Combs that he was just saying that to “show other big women that they’re beautiful, too.”

Slaton’s family then stressed that they didn’t want her to end up with someone like her ex-boyfriend Jerry Sykes, who brought her unhealthy food.

“He’s not Jerry, far from f**king Jerry,” Slaton said. “I’m trying to better myself, not go back.”

Combs then began to interrogate Slaton about being engaged. She immediately started getting defensive, saying that she would definitely tell her family if that was the case. She stressed that despite what might be going around on the internet, she was not engaged to Phillip, and was hurt that her family was never on her side.
