How much does Tammy Slaton make on ‘1000-lb Sisters’?
When 1000-lb Sisters premiered, it had relatively little fanfare and no one was sure if 1000-lb Sisters Season 2 would even come to fruition. For a new show or for new cast members that come on a standing show like 90 Day Fiancé, TLC has been known to pay between $1000 and $1,500 per episode that the talent appears on, according to Soap Dirt. So, after the six episodes of season 1, Tammy probably made around $6,000-$9,000 dollars. In the second season, pay is usually increased and the number of episodes also increased to 10.
Fans recently questioned how Tammy was going to pay for the weight loss surgery that she has been working toward. According to the outlet, she told fans that TLC will pay for the medical procedures and medical care while she is on the show. Tammy’s sister Amy has already received the surgery and lost a significant amount of weight.

Business trouble
Tammy tried to make some extra money by selling 1000-lb Sisters merchandise. However, things started to go south quickly when the artists whose work was used on the merchandise claimed they hadn’t gotten paid.
“I wasn’t being unfair at all, just saying how my artwork is being passed off as someone else’s when I spent time doing it, and I’ve now been blocked yet my design is still up on your website, not really fair at all, all I wanted was credit for it, that’s all,” one artist wrote on Instagram.
People also claimed that when they went to the website, they weren’t able to pay for merchandise and instead were instructed to “donate.” Tammy’s former business partner, Quincy, went on Instagram to explain what was going on.
“Let me clarify everything, we just started the merch shop and we had our shop button and cart feature on there but since we can’t accept any cash payment because we aren’t verified for online retailing yet,” wrote Quincy in an Instagram story captured here. “Also another thing all people who make art work don’t ask to get paid but to simply get a follow or noticed by Tammy!!”
The store has since been shut down.
‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3
The show has done so well that 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 is on the way. Tammy has revealed that they are already filming for the new season, however it won’t premiere until some time in 2022 due to having to get permits to film in several locations. Season 3 will follow Tammy as she continues to work toward getting her weight loss surgery and Amy as she continues to lose weight and raise her new son.
