Tammy Slaton is tired of this joke

At one point in the show, Amy says “I pay my bills, my bills are paid.” Fans immediately took to this line and began quoting it. The line was also featured on 1000-lb Sisters merchandise for the short time that fans could purchase the paraphernalia.

Now, Tammy is tired of the line and what some people deem it to mean. In a TikTok video, Tammy shared a comment from a fan that said, “Guys the bills paid joke isn’t funny anymore.”

“I completely agree,”Tammy said. “It is old.”

Tammy also expressed annoyance that people think that only Amy’s bills are paid.

“Everybody’s like Amy’s bills are paid, uh hello, my bills are paid too otherwise I wouldn’t be living on my own,” she continued.

Tammy is not jealous of Amy

In that same vein, some fans have accused Tammy of being jealous of her sister, not only because her bills are paid, but because she was able to get weight loss surgery.

“Why do y’all think that I’m jealous of Amy?” Tammy asked in a video responding to the accusations. “Why? Why? There’s nothing to be jealous of. She’s married, she lost weight. Big flipping deal. I’m going to get my surgery and I’m going to lose weight in my time. I’m going to get married in my time and I’m going to have children…never, but it’d be in my time. Nobody’s the same. I’m just a little slower than Amy, so what? I am not jealous of her, I’m proud of her. I love her. She got what she wanted. I will eventually. Stop saying I’m jealous of somebody that I’m not.”

What’s next for Amy and Tammy Slaton

1000-lb Sisters Season 3 is right around the corner. According to the season’s description, Tammy is about to have a tough time.

“With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes the game-changing decision to check herself into rehab for food addiction, but her stay there may be short-lived as she considers the best way to reach her goals. She also appears to be talking to a new love interest, which is cause for concern for her family, as relationships have hindered Tammy’s progress in the past,” the summary reads.

Amy is also going to have to do some adjusting this season.

“Amy is dealing with her own stress, and while her dreams came true when she became a mom to son Gage, balancing the demands of motherhood with her own weight-loss goals may prove to be impossible,” the summary continues.
