Glenn Close portrayed Cruella De Vil in the live-action film ‘101 Dalmatians’

Cruella De Vil is always in search of the next accessory, especially one dotted with spots. When she stumbled upon a litter of dalmatian puppies, this iconic Disney villain decided they would make the perfect winter coat. Walt Disney Studios originally introduced fans to Cruella with an animated film.

Since then, this character became a fan-favorite for her bold fashion choices and catchy theme song. Decades later, Glenn Close (of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Fatal Attraction, and Hillbilly Elegy) starred as Cruella De Vil in a live-action version of 101 Dalmatians. The actor returned for 102 Dalmatians as the same twisted villain.

“I think Cruella basically has no redeeming human characteristics. Except she does have a sense of humor, albeit wicked,” Close said during an interview with The Spokesman-Review. “She’s a great character. She’s gleeful in her evilness, and there’s something very engaging about that.”
