2022 Grammy Awards: Jon Batiste Is Excited to See BTS Perform, Has Been Talking to V

Jazz, fashion, and everything cool
BTS member V, born Kim Taehyung, grew up playing saxophone, but a new instrument may have connected him with his music soulmate.
In recent years, V’s gotten really into jazz music. The BTS vocalist often plays clips of his favorite songs for fans on his personal Instagram account. He also keeps a steady roster of jazz musicians like Chet Baker, Billie Holiday, and Miles Davis on his official Spotify playlist.
Last year, he started taking trumpet lessons. During Season 2 of the BTS reality series, In the Soop, fans were treated to V taking a virtual lesson. Months later, he posted a video on Instagram playing the jazz classic “Autumn Leaves.”
Batiste shared the video on his Instagram account’s story. The accomplished Jazz musician also shared that he would love to get a picture with V at the upcoming Grammys ceremony on Twitter.
He even commented under one fan’s post about V’s airport fashion, tweeting, “Let’s go!!!!”

BTS may be the most anticipated performance of the night. Although the group performed at the Grammys last year, it was a virtual performance from Seoul, Korea, due to the pandemic. This year, they’ll walk the red carpet and perform in front of their peers.
During their last appearance at the Grammys, the camera operators couldn’t get enough of their enthusiastic reactions to the performances. Jungkook even cried during a Dolly Parton song! Maybe this year, they’ll capture V dancing to Jon Batiste?
