The Recording Academy announced another round of performers for the upcoming 64th Annual Grammy Awards. In the new lineup, it was revealed that John Legend, Silk Sonic, Carrie Underwood, and more will perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards. The 2022 Grammy Awards will be held on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Silk Sonic will open the 2022 Grammy Awards

On March 30, the Recording Academy announced a new round of Grammy Awards performers. J Balvin with Maria Becerra, Legend, Silk Sonic, Underwood, Maverick City Music, Aymée Nuviola, and Billy Strings are part of the newest lineup.

Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars make up Silk Sonic, and the duo will open the 2022 Grammy Awards.

“We’re opening the Grammys on Sunday,” Silk Sonic tweeted on March 30.

According to a press release, “Maverick City Music, Aymée Nuviola and Billy Strings will be performing in special segments that will showcase Las Vegas and spotlight genres not historically represented on the GRAMMY Awards® telecast.”

Who else is performing at the 2022 Grammy Awards?

So far, 24 music acts are slated to perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards. It is unknown if more performers will be announced closer to the date of the award show.

Some of the performers listed will be performing collaboration stages together. J Balvin will perform with Becerra, and Harlow will perform with Lil Nas X. Together, Erivo, Odom Jr., and Zegler will perform a tribute to Stephen Sondheim.

The award show will be held in Las Vegas

Originally, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards were supposed to take place on Jan. 31 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy postponed the award show due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

When the 2022 Grammy Awards were rescheduled for April 3, the award show was moved to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

According to a press release, “The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards® have been rescheduled and will now broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sun, April 3 (8-11:30 p.m., live ET/5-8:30 p.m., live PT) on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.”
