News outlets have called the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, BOTW 2, and the Sequel to the Breath of the Wild because five years into development, Nintendo still has not even revealed a name. However, BOTW 2 fans hope the February 2022 Nintendo Direct changes that – desperately. Fans took to Twitter, hoping beyond hope for even a mention of Link’s next adventure to battle Ganondorf.

After several delays, most BOTW 2 fans confessed they only remain 80% certain about the late 2022 release date.
Nintendo financial reports revealed that they fully intended to keep the BOTW 2 release date, but they still have not officially announced anything yet. And fans are desperate to hear anything about Hyrule, Link, and Zelda.
“I’m frothing at the mouth over the prospect of a Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Nintendo Direct presentation,” one fan on Twitter said.
While BOTW 2 leaks and rumors pop up almost daily, it all remains speculation unless it comes from Nintendo itself. However, fans hope they do not need to speculate much longer on The Legend of Zelda game.
When can you catch the 2022 February Nintendo Direct to see if they announce anything about ‘Breath of the Wild 2’?
Nintendo posted an announcement on Feb 8, 2022, on Twitter. A new Nintendo Direct runs on Feb 19, 2022, at 2 pm PT. They confirmed the presentation would run for around 40 minutes.
However, Nintendo has not revealed anything that might appear, including BOTW 2 Nintendo Switch. That hasn’t stopped people from hoping for titles like Bayonetta 3, Splatoon 3, and more, though.
“The show kicks off at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 10 pm GMT / 11 pm CET. It will last ‘roughly 40 minutes’ and will be focused on Switch games launching ‘in the first half of 2022,’” NintendoLife reported.

Some fans have even created Nintendo Direct bingo cards depending on what they think might get announced. Star Fox, F-Zero, Fire Emblem, Bayonetta, and more dot the cards, hoping for some juicy new announcements.
Most do not expect any new Pokémon news since Pokémon Legends: Arceus recently released.
