At 45, Eve Radiates in Her Family Era as ‘Who’s That Girl?’ Rapper Releases Autobiography
Eve rose to fame in the late ’90s with hits like “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” and “Who’s That Girl.” Known for her fierce lyricism, she transitioned into acting, starring in films like Barbershop and TV shows like Eve. Her versatility shines across music and film. Now, Eve is focusing on her legacy as she builds a family and releases her autobiography.
Record producer and rapper Dr. Dre discovered Eve when she was 20 years old. After signing with Ruff Ryders and releasing several iconic hits of the 2000s, the Philadelphia native pivoted to acting. She co-hosted CBS’s The Talk and appeared on TV shows like Jane the Virgin, Empire, and Happy Together.
Although Eve released her last album, Lip Lock, in 2013, she continued producing singles like 2019’s “Reload.” Along the way, “Let Me Blow Ya Mind,” featuring Gwen Stefani, won a 2002 Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Eve receives additional Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album, Best Female Rap Solo Performance, and Album of the Year.
These days, Eve and her husband, former race car driver and entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, divide their time between London, LA, and NYC. They first met in 2010 at a launch party for Cooper’s Gumball 3000 motor rally. In 2013, they got engaged, and in 2014, they married in Ibiza, Spain. The jetsetting couple announced the birth of their first child, a son named Wilde, on February 1, 2022. Cooper also has four children from a previous marriage.
Now, Eve has settled into family life. She often posts social media photos with her son and stepchildren and she refocuses on her career. Eve announced her autobiography in early 2024, explaining on Instagram, “It’s been a journey down memory lane, and I can’t wait for you all to read it.” This fall, she’s promoting Who’s That Girl? on The Tamron Hall Show, Laura Coates Live, Good Morning America, and other outlets.
On October 1, 2024, Eve attended the Glamour Women of The Year Awards in London, England. Wearing a skintight leopard print maxi dress, the 45-year-old showed off her toned figure and gorgeous skin. Eve wore the sparkly mock neck dress with simple black heels, a red mani, and a red lip. The “Gangsta Lovin'” singer looked incredible, proving that forties are the new twenties.
