In the mood for a Marvel movie but don’t have three hours to watch Avengers: Endgame? Watch these movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that clock in under two hours from start to finish.

1. ‘Thor’ (1 hour, 55 minutes)

See Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the Marvel character’s own stand-alone movie. Released in 2011, the PG-13 movie follows Thor as he’s sent to earth from Asgard because of his arrogance.

In search of his hammer aka Mjölnir, he meets scientist Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). They team up and, over the course of 1 hour and 55 minutes, try to get Thor back home to Asgard.

2. ‘Thor: The Dark World’ (1 hour, 52 minutes)

Another Marvel movie that’s shorter by MCU standards is Thor: The Dark World, the 2013 follow-up to Thor. Hemsworth reprised his role as the superhero, returning alongside other actors in the MCU.

Anthony Hopkins once again played Odin and Tom Hiddleston reprised his role as Loki. Portman came back to the MCU to play Thor’s love interest, Jane Foster. This time she and Thor worked together to save the universe from darkness.

The shortest Marvel movie on this list, Thor: The Dark World has a runtime of 1 hour and 52 minutes.

3. ‘Ant-Man’ (1 hour, 57 minutes)

Watch Paul Rudd play Scott Lang in 2015’s Ant-Man. A burglar with a chance at redemption, Scott becomes Ant-Man.

Whenever he puts on a super-suit he has the ability to shrink in size but maintain superhero strength. In just under 2 hours, Scott teams up with Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to pull off a heist and save the world.

4. ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ (1 hour, 58 minutes)

Scott Lang gets a sidekick in the 2018 sequel to Ant-Man. Ant-Man and the Wasp follows Rudd’s character as he becomes a team. He partners with Hope Van Dyne or Wasp (Evangeline Lilly).

They work together on another mission with Dr. Pym. One of the shorter movies in the MCU, Ant-Man and the Wasp has a total runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes.

5. ‘Doctor Strange’ (1 hour, 55 minutes)

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch goes from playing a detective to a neurosurgeon in Doctor Strange. But not just any neurosurgeon. Dr. Stephen Strange is a man who winds up studying and practicing the mystic arts so he can protect the earth from magical threats.

Doctor Strange has the unfortunate distinction of the MCU film that’s taken the longest to get a sequel. Cumberbatch will reprise his role as the neurosurgeon-turned-magical-protector in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film is slated for a 2022 release.
