While many celebrities have avoided talking about Sean “Diddy” Combs following his 2024 arrest, 50 Cent has doubled down on his criticism. For years, he says he has made it clear that he does not like or trust Combs. He said Combs’ recent behavior proves that nothing he says can be trusted.

50 Cent said people can’t believe anything Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs says

Recent allegations against Combs have brought his notorious parties under scrutiny, but 50 Cent said he has been critical of the events for years.

“I’ve been very vocal about not going to Puffy parties and doing s*** like that,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been staying out of that s*** for years. It’s just an uncomfortable energy connected to it.”

He spoke about watching footage of Combs attacking Cassie Ventura. He believed the video proved that Combs was willing to lie about everything.

“First, he denied that it even happened, and then the tape comes out — so that means everything that n**** says is a lie,” he said. “When someone watches that, if they have a daughter and they can imagine her being under those circumstances, that s*** is crazy. Like, they let him get away with it. With all the influence and power you have, the person you’re with is supposed to want to be a part of your life, not be forced.”

Cassie Ventura’s lawyer called him out for lying

After the video footage surfaced, Combs issued an apology for his behavior. Before the footage, though, he vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f***ed up — I mean, I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses,” Combs said, per NBC News. “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted.”

Ventura’s lawyer called him out for blatantly lying and only apologizing when there was no more room for denial.

“When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday,” her attorney, Meredith Firetog, said. “That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”

50 Cent said his relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was strictly professional

Though 50 Cent criticized Combs, he has worked with him in the past. He said this didn’t make him feel any friendlier towards him.

“It was mostly work. I wouldn’t call it a friendship because there wouldn’t be disappointment between us if we didn’t speak to each other,” he said. “There’s points that we worked together. Jennifer Lopez actually told him he should work with me as songwriter in the beginning. And I was around at the early stages, and he could have done my record deal at that point.”

He said he avoided Combs, even when others encouraged him to work with him.

“I remember Diddy would call, and my son’s mom would answer, and I didn’t want to get on the phone like, ‘No, no, no,’” he said. “And she was like, ‘What the f***? We need money.’ (Laughs.) She’s looking at me, like, ‘What? Why don’t you want to talk to him?’”
