50 Cent Started a Feud With Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Nearly 20 Years Ago — And It Might Have Saved Him
Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has spent plenty of time in the spotlight this year — but not for good reason. The rapper and producer was arrested in September 2024 on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking, and he is now awaiting his May trial from a jail cell.
Diddy had beef with a number of rappers through the years, including 50 Cent. 50’s feud with Diddy started from a diss track, but it might have been a big reason 50 isn’t worried about any of the drama surrounding Diddy’s now-infamous white parties.
50 Cent says he ‘never partied’ with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Diddy’s parties have come under fire ever since it was discovered that the rapper might have been involved in illegal activities, including sex trafficking. In the early 2000s, countless celebrities attended Diddy’s white parties, and nobody on the outside ever fully knew what went on behind closed doors. Now, though, things are coming to light, and celebrities are scrambling to have their names disassociated with Diddy’s events. Some celebs even deleted their tweets in an effort to have no connection to the rapper.
But 50 Cent doesn’t have to worry about it — and that stems from a feud 50 started with Diddy back in 2006. In 50’s track “The Bomb,” he alleged that Diddy knew who was responsible for Biggie’s murder. This launched a yearslong feud between the two men, and it meant 50 would never be spotted at one of Diddy’s parties.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2024, 50 explained that he never attended one of Diddy’s events. “I didn’t ever party or hang out with him,” 50 said. “Puff is a businessperson … He’s not a producer. He’s been able to take advantage of the business and the creatives in it … I just didn’t take to hanging out with that.”

Right now, it seems that a number of celebrities aren’t sleeping well at night because they don’t know whether they’re on any of Diddy’s tapes. However, 50’s longtime beef with Diddy means he doesn’t have to worry about it; he’s willing to speak out when many others aren’t, and he said he believes that’s because people who partied with Diddy don’t know what he has against them.
“They don’t know what the f*** is on tape or what’s not on tape, so they’re not going to say anything because they might have had too much fun,” he says. 50 is one of just a few people who have openly spoken about Diddy. Producer Suge Knight also had choice words for the hip-hop mogul.
