7 Romantic Movies to Watch on Netflix After You Stream ‘The Lost Husband’
The Lost Husband is Netflix’s latest must-watch movie. This romance starring Josh Duhamel and Leslie Bibb quickly became the most popular movie on the streaming service after it dropped August 10.
Based on a book of the same name by Katherine Center, the movie tells the story of a grieving widow named Libby (Bibb) who moves with her two children to her Aunt Jean’s (Nora Dunn) farm in Texas. There, she meets James O’Connor (Duhamel), who has a complicated past of his own.

‘A Walk to Remember’
Another Nicholas Sparks adaptation, this 2002 movie is about a shy and sheltered high school student named Jamie (Mandy Moore) who falls for popular guy Landon (Shane West) while they’re working together on a school play. But their new relationship is put to the test by his reluctance to publicly admit his feelings for her and her conservative father’s disapproval, as well as a major secret she’s hiding from him.
‘The Lake House’
Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves star in this 2006 movie about doctor (Bullock) who moves into a lake house and starts communicating with its previous resident, an architect (Reeves), by leaving letters in the home’s mailbox. Gradually, they fall in love, even though she lives in 2006 and he lives in 2004.
‘Holding the Man’
Based on a memoir by the late Timothy Conigrave, this 2016 Australian film tells the story of Conigrave’s romance with his partner John Caleo. Their relationship began when they were students in the 1970s and lasted for 15 years, until John’s death from AIDS.
‘One Day’
One Day begins on June 15, 1988 — the day of Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter’s (Jim Sturgess) college graduation in Edinburgh. It follows their friendship (and eventual romance) over the next 20 years, checking in with them every July 15.
‘Remember Me’
Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin star in this 2010 movie (with a divisive ending) about a pair of college students in New York who fall in love, only to have their romance cut short by tragedy.
‘Sleepless in Seattle’
Tom Hanks plays a widowed architect named Sam who moves from Chicago to Seattle with his young son after his wife’s death. The boy calls a popular radio show, explaining that his Christmas wish is to find a new wife for his dad. Annie (Meg Ryan), a reporter, happens to hear the segment and decides she and Sam are destined to be together.
