‘9-1-1’ Season 5 Spring Premiere Features Buck With ‘Tricks Up His Sleeve’
Fox’s 9-1-1 Season 5 spring premiere will bring fan-favorite characters back in action — and that includes Evan “Buck” Buckley. Buck is a firefighter at Station 118 of the Los Angeles Fire Department, and he’s known for his previous reckless behavior. Now, going into the return of season 5, it seems fans might see more questionable behavior from him.
Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley and Christopher Diaz will have scenes together in the ‘9-1-1’ Season 5 spring premiere
Evan “Buck” Buckley actor Oliver Stark already started giving fans hints regarding what they’ll see during the 9-1-1 Season 5 spring premiere, airing on March 21. During episode 10 — the episode prior to the season’s break — Buck had a hard time dealing with his sister, Maddie Kendall, missing. When Maddie unexpectedly left, Howie “Chimney” Han went to chase her, and the two have been missing for several episodes. Additionally, TVInsider reminds us Buck experienced his first Christmas with a girlfriend, Taylor Kelly.
Fans will certainly see Buck in action in the 9-1-1 Season 5 spring premiere. And according to Stark, Buck and Christopher Diaz, Eddie Diaz’s son, will have important scenes together.
Hello! notes Eddie told Buck that he named Buck as Christopher’s legal guardian if anything bad were to happen. The first half of season 5 didn’t feature much interaction between Buck and Christopher. But Stark told Hello! that fans can anticipate Buck and Christopher scenes in the premiere “as long as they don’t end up on the cutting room floor.”
Additional insiders note fans can anticipate Buck with a few new ‘tricks up his sleeve’ this season
So, what else can fans anticipate from Buck during the 9-1-1 Season 5 spring premiere? TVLine saw the premiere before it aired, and they explained that fans will see plenty of the character.
“Remember when Buck used to be the firehouse’s resident wild card, constantly full of surprises?” TVLine notes. “Having seen 9-1-1’s spring premiere, we can confirm that the 118’s reformed bad boy still has a few tricks up his sleeve. We’re not guaranteeing that you’re going to like what he does, but you’ll definitely be entertained.”
It sounds like Buck may find himself in trouble with his actions. And it could have something to do with Eddie Diaz’s decision to leave Firehouse 118. Oliver Stark told Hello! that Buck struggled deeply with Eddie’s decision.
“It comes from a place of wanting his partner by his side,” Stark explained. “Buck will struggle, and won’t completely understand — but he will have to get used to it.”
