Although the pair got married, Anfisa and Jorge never seemed to get on the same page. Things took a turn for the TLC stars when Jorge was imprisoned. Jorge was recently released from prison after being locked up for drug trafficking. The couple is still married even though they are estranged and dating other people. Fans have been curious if Anfisa has been in touch with Jorge since getting out of prison. When a fan asked the TLC star on her Instagram, she replied with a simple “yes” to the query.
Are they getting a divorce?
Back in April, Anfisa gave an interview where she talked about her relationship with Jorge. She revealed that she initially wanted to stay with her husband, but ultimately decided to divorce once he was released from prison.
“I wanted to put our issues aside and stay by his side and support him in this difficult situation,” she told In Touch. “However, the whole time I felt like I had a weight on my shoulders that wouldn’t let me be happy. I knew I had to end it and it would be better for the both of us, so Jorge and I talked about it and mutually decided to part ways a few months ago and agreed to divorce once he’s released.”
Anfisa assured the publication that she took the time apart from Jorge to “heal” herself.
“People grow apart sometimes, it doesn’t mean the relationship wasn’t genuine from the start,” she added. “I was hoping the time in prison would make Jorge a better man, but it seems like he is still the same vindictive little boy seeking revenge. It’s sad that he can’t stand seeing me succeed on my own.”
Anfisa Nava talks about her breakup
Anfisa was recently linked to another man by the name of Leo Assaf. The couple became Instagram-official earlier this year and were seen enjoying their time together. However, Assaf’s presence on Anfisa’s social media profiles had been lacking in the last couple of weeks. This prompted fans to ask the TLC star if they split and she replied citing cheating rumors as the cause.
“This guy just doesn’t know what he wants,” Nava explained. “I had girls texting me, ‘your man is in my DMs,’ all the time. The only reason he didn’t physically cheat is because the girl he went out with rejected him. Now he’s trying to throw shade at me. Are all men trash or have I just been lucky to find ‘the best’ specimen?”
It was after Assaf started to get attention from Anfisa’s fans that she noticed a change in him. Fans pointed out how he seemed to be fame-hungry and Anfisa did not deny she believed that too.
“He sure has been enjoying the attention he got from being with me,” Nava agreed with her follower. “The most frustrating thing is that I tried to be a bigger person and keep my personal matters private during my last 2 breakups but these guys are just something else.”
