‘90 Day Diaries’: Asuelu and Kalani Update — Are They Still Married in 2022?
On the 90 Day Diaries Season 3 premiere, married couple Asuelu Pulaa and Kalani Faagata struggle to see eye to eye on parenting and struggle with their marriage. Are Asuelu and Kalani still married? Here’s an update on the 90 Day Fiancé couple.
Kalani and Asuelu’s marriage issues
On the March 21 episode of 90 Day Diaries, Asuelu and Kalani go to a pumpkin patch in preparation for Halloween 2021. The 90 Day Fiancé stars have fun picking out pumpkins with their two sons, 3-year-old Oliver and 2-year-old Kennedy. Check out the 90 Day Diaries clip below (via Instagram):
However, family fun quickly ends when the couple sits down in front of the cameras and talks about the state of their marriage. She asks him, “How do you feel about everything?” He replies, “Good. What do you think?”
She says, “I don’t think we are doing very well at all. I think you feel good because you get to get out of the house, and you get quiet time, and you get free time. When my mom is gone, I don’t get that.”
Then Kalani tells Asuelu about how the workload isn’t balanced, and she’s doing more of the effort in raising the children. However, Asuelu gets frustrated because Kalani doesn’t trust him to watch the children outside of her care.
She admits she’s worried about the kids’ safety after an incident where Oliver ran into the parking lot when Asuelu was supposed to be watching him.
Kalani tells her mom, Lisa Faagata, “I feel like I’m at a breaking point, but I’m not going to keep begging him to do things. All of this is up to him, so I mean if he’s end up there, cool, but if he doesn’t, then what else can I do?”
Are Kalani and Asuelu still married in 2022?
In the three years of marriage, the couple has had many ups and downs. The last time fans saw Asuelu and Kalani was during 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 6, when they were having difficulties communicating. On top of that, there was a conflict between the two Samoan families that caused the couple to feel divided.
Despite nearly divorcing, Asuelu and Kalani are still together in 2022. The couple posted a vlog on their YouTube channel, Kalani & Asuelu, on March 21, showing the family vacation to Hawaii.
Asuelu recently reposted a TikTok of himself on Instagram of the trip. He revealed that he was with his wife, sons, and sister-in-law, Kolini Faagata on the Hawaiian vacation.
Kalani plans to move to California to be closer with her parents
In the recent episode, Kalani reveals that her parents moved from Utah to California. Kalani relies on her parents, mother, Lisa Faagata, especially to help her with childcare.
Kalani says, “Seeing my mom again after two months just feels so amazing. I have such a great relationship with my mom, and the boys do too. So having her back in the house just feels like home.”
While Asuelu is golfing, Kalani tells her mom, “I want to go to California so desperately because my friends and family are there. So I can actually be like, ‘Oh, you’re going golfing? Ok, I’m going to lunch with so-and-so.'” She explains to her mom how she feels lonely living in Utah, away from the rest of her family.
On Feb. 27, Kalani posted photos with her in Aliso beach in Southern California with her mother. So Kalani and Asuelu may have already moved to California.
