‘90 Day Diaries’ Update: Are Kenny and Armando Expanding Their Family in 2022?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars, Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Niedermeier and Armando Rubio are looking at the possibilities regarding expanding their family. The couple gives fans an update on their plan in the April 25 episode of 90 Day Diaries.
Kenny goes to Florida for the birth of his 2nd grandchild
During the 90 Day Diaries episode, Kenny goes back to St. Petersburg, Florida, to be there for the delivery of his second grandchild. The family-oriented father of four is excited to be back with his children, Cassidy, Taylor, Madison, and Bryson, and grandson, Cooper.
He reveals, “I’m back in Florida because my daughter Cassidy is going to have my second grandson, Julian.” The 58-year-old father said that coming back to Florida is “bittersweet” for him because he knows that he will have to leave them to go back to his life with Armando in La Mision, Mexico.
Armando wants a baby
On the heels of their wedding, the couple have discussed the idea of having more children. It was nearly the only thing they disagreed on during their journey on The Other Way, Season 3. Armando, who has successfully raised four children, is ready for an easy life helping raise Armando’s 9-year-old daughter, Hannah, from his previous marriage.
Kenny said that at the beginning of his relationship with Armando, they established they wouldn’t have more children. However, as they’ve begun setting down in Mexico together, 33-year-old Armando is eager to have one more child.
Kenny admitted he’s not as eager to start over with a baby. He said, “I’m still undecided at this point in my life if I even want to have another child.”
On a video call, Kenny shows off his new grandson, Julian, to who his daughter Cassidy just gave birth. Armando jokes about bringing the baby home. He said, “I want a baby.”
Kenny isn’t decided if he wants another baby
While Kenny is undecided if he’s ready to be a father again at his age, he’s considering it because it would mean so much to Armando. During the discussion, Armando asks Kenny, “Seeing Julian there and stuff, does it make you realize we want a baby, that I do?” Kenny admitted that having a baby sounds fun but that he’s worried about how much work it would be.
Kenny tells Armando, “Every day, we’ll move a little forward, and we’ll end up narrowing down what we want and if we want.”
However, they’re no longer as worried about Kenny or Armando’s families’ opinions on the matter. Kenny tells Armando, “It’s what’s between you and I, and what we think is best for you and I and Hannah and our family, at the end of the day.” He continues, “Everybody else, your family, my family, they’ll have to be on board with whatever we choose to do.”
What are the options for the ’90 Day Fiancé’ couple?
The 58-year-old father and grandfather explained, “We really only have three options. Adoption, surrogacy and in-vitro with my DNA, or surrogacy in-vitro with Armando’s DNA.”
Since there is a 25-year-age gap between the couple, Armando admitted he would like to have a child with Kenny’s DNA to have something left of him in the future when he is gone.
Kenny admitted that it’s very important that they have a baby via surrogacy because he wants to continue Kenny’s bloodline. He explains, “For me, it’s important that it’s Kenny’s bloodline. Just because I want to have a part of him.” He thinks a baby “levels out” the family, considering he has Hannah to carry on his bloodline, but Kenny doesn’t.
Will they be expanding their family? It seems Kenny may still need some time to think it over. But he’s not throwing out the idea altogether, he says, “I know that anything’s possible, and I know I can handle anything put in front of me.”
90 Day Fiancé fans can’t wait and see if there will be another addition to this beautiful family. New episodes of 90 Day Diaries air Mondays on TLC and discovery+.
