Ari and Bini, both 34, signed on for season 2 of The Last Resort in a last-ditch attempt to fix their broken relationship. Unfortunately, the intervention didn’t work. The couple, who share a five-year-old son, were unable to overcome their issues, which include trust issues and cheating accusations.

“At the end of the day, it seems like my husband has no interest in fixing the marriage,” Ari confessed in the latest episode of the TLC series.

During an emergency session with two of the show’s therapists, Ari explained that it was “pretty uncomfortable” to be around Bini and that she was disappointed he wasn’t holding himself accountable for past mistakes. The therapists,  James and Sarah, asked what the couple thought of their situation. Ari’s answer was unequivocal.

“I think it’s better for us maybe not to be together,” Ari said. “Cause I just don’t believe any of the things that were promised to me, I don’t believe that they’re gonna be carried out.”

“It’s rough for our relationship. It’s not good,” Bini said, adding that all the “drama” was making him “crazy.”

“I’m done emotionally,” he said.

The ‘90 Day’ couple is getting a divorce and leaving the resort

The toll of attempting to save a failing relationship had clearly taken its toll on Ari.

“I tried so hard to make a broken marriage work,” she said. “And it’s not working.”

Bini had accepted that there was nothing more he and Ari could do to make things better.

“I know it’s painful for us, but we know we can’t fix the full situation,” he said.

Not only were Ari and Bini pulling the plug on their marriage, but they were also opting out of the rest of The Last Resort

“We decided that we’re going to be getting a divorce and we’re leaving the resort,” Ari explained in a confessional. “I have mixed emotions. I’m happy because, you know, I’m finally free in some sense from all these burdens and problems and stress. And on the other hand it’s sad because it’ll be starting all over again.”

Bini’s hope was that by giving up on their romantic relationship, they’d be better parents for their son, Avi.

“Maybe we’ll stop fighting and we will be focused on, like, more on our son,” Bini said.

Though Ari knew she was making the right decision, she still had mixed emotions about walking away.

“I feel like I failed at my marriage. I feel like I failed at the resort,” she said. “In a lot of ways I’m ready for the relationship to be over. But I’m sad, because it was five years together. And mostly I’m sad for my son.”

90 Day: The Last Resort airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on TLC. Episodes also stream on Max.
