’90 Day Fiancé’: Angela Deem Has Starred On ‘Maury’ With Her Daughter Twice
90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem was, prior to the appearance of Babygirl Lisa Hamme, one of the most controversial stars on the hit TLC franchise. And it seems as if 90 Day Fiancé isn’t Deem’s first reality television appearance. Deem might be a fan of the drama, because it turns out that she and her daughter appeared on Maury twice. Even more shocking, Deem’s daughter, Scottie, was just released from prison early after being arrested for child molestation.
Angela Deem’s daughter arrested for child molestation
Angela Deem’s adult daughter, Scottie Deem, has a serious criminal history. The 90 Day Fiancé star was arrested for several counts of child molestation as well as statutory rape.
In 2017, Scottie was arrested for criminal activity that occurred between July 1 and August 31. Deem was reported to have had sexual relations with a minor below 16 years of age. What’s even more shocking, Deem performed sexual acts on a minor with other minors present.
Deem wound up facing 11 counts of child molestation, couple with one account of aggravated child molestation and one count of statutory rape. The charges were later reduced to three counts of child molestation.
As previously reported by Radar Online, the victim’s grandmother said, “Scottie Deem, a good friend of the family, had Juvenile [name redacted] at her home while her boyfriend was out of town. While the Juvenile [redacted] was there with her and her children, Ms. Deem had sexual intercourse with Juvenile [redacted]. This incident happened two to three times at Ms. Deem’s home.”
Angela Deem’s daughter released early
Surprisingly, the 90 Day Fiancé star’s daughter was released early from prison, a move that surprised many people given the severity of her crimes.
Originally, Angela Deem’s daughter was slated to serve three concurrent 20-year sentences. What this means is that Scottie Deem would be serving out all three sentences in one 20-year span. However, Deem was actually expected to spend no more than 2.5 years in prison before her release.
Surprisingly, Scottie Deem wound up being let go even earlier than 2.5 years of time served. Instead, after a mere 15 months spent in the clink, Scottie was released on probation. Additionally, she has been added to the Georgia sex offender registry, and will be on parole until January 31 2021.
Fans of the show were shocked she was released early. One Redditor wrote, “I’m speechless! I bet dollars to donuts that she’s around those children at Angela’s house. Part of her sentencing I believe states says she can’t be around children.”
The ‘90 Day Fiancé’ star has been on ‘Maury’ twice
It turns out that Angela Deem and her daughter have also appeared on the talk show Maury, which is well-known for episodes packed with outrageous family drama.
During Scottie Deem’s first appearance on Maury, Angela Deem claimed that her baby wasn’t her boyfriend’s child. Deem told Maury, “I’m here to prove today that my daughter’s boyfriend Terry is not the father of my grandbaby Anna Scott. I know Scottie had a one night stand with Chris two weeks before she got with Terry!”
A DNA test later confirmed that Terry is indeed the father of Scottie’s baby, contrary to Deem’s suggestion. Deem and her daughter later appeared on Maury a second time, this time questioning the paternity of Scottie’s second daughter with Terry.
