’90 Day Fiancé’ Sneak Peek: Ariela Danielle Goes With Biniyam to See His Priest — Why the News They Receive Could Lead to Problems
On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Ariela Danielle and Biniyam Shibre are trying to start a life together in Ethiopia. However, things have been more than eventful so far. Ariela uprooted her life in Princeton, New Jersey to start anew with Biniyam, and it would be a daunting task for anyone in her shoes.
Ariela’s mother, Janice, accompanied her to Ethiopia, and things have been an adjustment, that’s for sure. The temporary apartment they were going to stay in isn’t up to Ariela and her mother’s expectations, and the permanent residence isn’t much better, considering it’s still being renovated.
On top of all that, Ariela and Biniyam have a lot of differences, yet they are both still trying to make things work together for the sake of their child. The new circumstances they find themselves in will be difficult for both of them as they navigate trying to prepare for the birth of their son.
Ariela Danielle goes with Biniyam Shibre to see his priest
In the upcoming episode, Ariela goes with Biniyam to see his priest, although she is Jewish. Biniyam is an Ethiopian Orthodox Christian, and his parents attended the church together with him where he takes Ariela.
Ariela’s parents are of differing religions, just like her and Biniyam. “My parents are also not of the same religion,” Ariela explains to producers. “My father is Jewish and my mother is Roman Catholic. Honestly, I always felt really uncomfortable with the idea of Christianity because I don’t believe in hell. It’s just so awful to me. I don’t think that it’s something we should be teaching our son about.”
Biniyam sits down with his priest, named Tibelo Flsibhat. “What’s brought you here today?” the priest asks Biniyam. “She’s pregnant,” Biniyam reveals. “It’s one of those things that just happened. My question is, what if it so happens that she doesn’t become a Christian, but I’m still a Christian, and we’ve agreed to have the baby baptized. Because I want him to be baptized as a Christian. Can he still be baptized?”
“He cannot,” the priest bluntly replies. “Before the baby can be baptized as a Christian, he must suckle from a Christian breast.”
Why the news they receive could lead to potential problems for Ariela and Biniyam
The information from Biniyam’s priest could complicate the situation. It sounds like Biniyam is determined to have his son baptized into his religion, but it can’t happen because Ariela isn’t Christian. If Ariela and Biniyam aren’t on the same page about how they will raise their son, there could be some major arguments in the future.
Ariela has mentioned that she wants to raise her son the way she was raised, but will Biniyam go along with that? Can Ariela and Biniyam make things work while they each have different religions? It could certainly cause tension and issues when it comes to their future as a family. They need to be in agreement about things, but it sounds like they’re still trying to figure things out as they go.
Religion can be a complicated subject to tackle with a partner, but it’s an important conversation to have. There is potential that the news they’ve received from the priest could cause problems for the couple. What will it mean for how they choose to raise their son?
They each need to respect the other’s religion and find a way to co-parent without it becoming an issue. However, it sounds like there could already be problems, and the baby isn’t even born yet. Biniyam wants his son baptized, but as it stands, that can’t happen. How will he feel about that? It could lead to an issue later on down the line.
There could be problems in the future when it comes to religion once the baby is born. With their son on the way, Ariela and Biniyam don’t have a lot of time left to figure this stuff out. Hopefully, they can come up with a solution going forward before the baby’s arrival.
