’90 Day Fiancé’: Babygirl Lisa Hamme Denies She Was Fired By TLC After N-Word Controversy
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme is firing back at the reports that TLC fired her from the hit reality show. The network reportedly fired Lisa following her n-word scandal that rocked the season 4 reunion. Although fans are convinced that TLC gave Lisa the boot, she says that she might return to the network for new episodes.
Is Lisa done with ’90 Day Fiancé’?
Lisa’s first foray into the world of reality TV didn’t go exactly as planned. Although she and Usman tied the knot on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, their relationship ultimately fell apart after she returned to the United States.
By the time the season 4 reunion rolled around, Lisa and Usman’s marriage was beyond the point of repair. At one point during the reunion, Usman dropped the bombshell that Lisa had called him the n-word.
Lisa did not deny using the racial slur, and Usman later confirmed that she used it multiple times. She later apologized for her actions and assured fans that she is not a racist person.
90 Day Fiancé fans, however, were not happy about the situation. In a bid to get ahead of the scandal, TLC cut Lisa’s segment from the reunion.
Many viewers suspected that the network fired Lisa, which explains why her time on B90 Strikes Back was cut short. Lisa, on the other hand, says that she is still on good terms with TLC.
Lisa denies TLC fired her
Before her racial slur scandal made headlines, Lisa filmed a handful of episodes of B90 Strikes Back. But Lisa’s return to the spotlight was cut short after TLC reportedly gave her the ax before she finished.
During an interview on The Domenick Nati Show, Lisa claimed that TLC did not fire her over the n-word scandal. She also stated that she is open to returning to the hit franchise, though she didn’t confirm that TLC has reached out to her.
Lisa also revealed that TLC has paid her for all of the episodes she filmed last season, but she has yet to receive her final check from the network. TLC, of course, has not addressed Lisa’s claims.
There is no telling if Lisa is being truthful about her future in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Considering that most fans were not happy about her use of racial slurs, her chances of landing a spot on the show next season are slim.
While the verdict is still out on Lisa’s future with TLC, the reality star is looking to take advantage of her newfound celebrity.
Lisa set to appear on a new ’90 Day Fiancé’ podcast
Lisa’s drama with Usman vaulted her into the spotlight in season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. After the pair constantly fought in front of the cameras, they took their feud to social media where things heated up even more.
While Lisa did her best to defend her actions on the show, Usman claimed that she scammed her out of $26,000. However, Lisa said that she paid Usman what she rightfully owed him, which was around $11,000.
In her interview with Domenick, Lisa confirmed that Usman had filed for divorce. She has yet to sign the papers to make things official, but it certainly looks like their marriage is over.
With Lisa continuing to stir up drama, she recently revealed that she might appear in a new podcast titled 90 Days On Fire. Lisa promoted the project on Instagram, though it is still not clear how she is involved in the podcast.
Lisa and Usman are still under contract with TLC, so neither of them can reveal too much about what happened on the show. But if Lisa has her way, then her time in the front of the cameras is far from over.
New episodes of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise air Sunday and Monday nights on TLC.
