90 Day Fiancé stars Babygirl Lisa Hamme and Usman Umar have encountered a new roadblock. Umar and Hamme need to win over Umar’s mother in order to earn her blessing. However, Umar’s mother does not seem thrilled with the prospect of him marrying Babygirl Lisa. To make matters worse, fans are now concerned for Umar after he posted to Instagram saying that he’s very sick and needs the prayers of his fans. Some were worried the reality star may have coronavirus. Now, Babygirl Lisa is taking to Instagram to update fans on Usman Umar’s illness.
Winning over Usman Umar’s mother
90 Day Fiancé star Lisa Hamme is dealing with a new roadblock in her relationship with Usman Umar. Hamme needs to receive the blessing of Umar’s mother before the two can marry.
However, Umar’s mother is not happy about Babygirl Lisa. She told producers, “When Lisa came to the mosque to pray, I was happy. But we Hausas do not permit a younger man to marry an older woman. And I am scared. He’s a black man. When he gets to American they will turn him into a servant. That is my fear.”
Hamme attended a service at a mosque to win over Umar’s mother, but it wasn’t enough just yet. Some fans have been wondering if Babygirl Lisa Hamme will convert to Islam in order to seal the deal.
Some fans did note that Babygirl Lisa was a little demanding of Usman Umar in front of his own mother, especially since his mother is afraid he’ll become a servant. Hamme demanded that Umar translate for her, and was rather brusque with him at times during the conversation.
Usman Umar says he’s sick, ‘90 Day Fiancé’ fans react
The 90 Day Fiancé star alarmed fans when he took to Instagram to post that he’s not doing well. In a short post, Umar wrote, “I’m seriously SICK. Pls i need ur prayer [sic].” He accompanied the post with a sick emoji and several praying hands.
Fans were immediately concerned that Usman Umar might be ill with a case of the coronavirus (COVID-19). One fan wrote, “Love, light and prayers sent to you from Oregon. What are you sick with? Not the virus right?”
“Oh no!!! Are you gonna be ok? Sending get well wishes,” added another fan. Many users wrote in the comments that they are praying for Umar, or sending him get well soon notes. A few continued to speculate as to whether or not Umar has the virus.
Babygirl Lisa Hamme updates fans
Babygirl Lisa Hamme took to Instagram to update Umar’s fans on his condition. However, based on Hamme’s posts, it sounds as if she’s somewhat in the dark on how he’s doing as well.
In a post that now seems to be deleted, Babygirl Lisa wrote, “Yes, it’s TRUE Usman is sick an all prayers are welcome by Gods Grace he will be fine!! Feel better my Soja luv [sic].”
In a follow-up, Hamme wrote, “Just pray in the meantime I have spoken to my Babylove less than an hour my line will be kept open for communication with Nigeria thank you all.”
Babygirl Lisa also wanted to quash any rumors that Umar might have coronavirus. She wrote on her Instagram story, “Let me squash these crazy a** bloggers right d*** now Usman is sick but to state he has coronavirus hellfire to each of you who report such sh*t I’m still BGL an [sic] still ain’t putting up with y’all bullsh*t.”
