90 Day Fiancé star Babygirl Lisa Hamme is nothing if not controversial. She and her Nigerian partner, Usman Umar, have had their fair share of ups and downs. However, it seems as if these days, there’s more downs than ups. Hamme recently admitted to calling Umar the n-word in private, and has been dealing with backlash from that, alongside criticism of how she treats Umar on the show. And while Hamme may have wronged Umar, she’s now claiming he’s harmed her as well. Hamme recently took to Instagram to claim that Umar is scamming her, TLC, and his own family.
Babygirl Lisa Hamme called Usman Umar a racial slur
90 Day Fiancé fans were disgusted, but not too surprised, to learn that Babygirl Lisa Hamme called Usman Umar the n-word during their time together. The revelation came during the tell-all footage, ten hours of which were leaked unedited.
Umar said, “Lisa, last week you called me n*gger which I know is totally inappropriate in America. You called me n*gger, I don’t even get angry about it because I am used to how you are behaving.”
At the time, Hamme tried to stop Umar from telling everyone what went down. She told him, “If you start this sh*t again. Do not open that can of worms. Do not. Do not start. Let me tell you something. Listen, if you open a can of worms.”
Hamme later addressed the situation. During a chat with Domenick Nati, Hamme said, “No, that word was used out of context and out of stupidity. My husband accepted my apology, but haters don’t and they want to ride it out to no end.”
Lisa Hamme claims Usman Umar used her
While it briefly seemed to 90 Day Fiancé fans as if Babygirl Lisa Hamme and Usman Umar were back on good terms, that feeling didn’t last long.
During a live chat with Hamme’s promoter, Rocco Straz, Hamme claimed that Umar was using her in their relationship, as well as TLC and 90 Day Fiancé fans. Hamme appeared teary-eyed and distraught.
“To everyone listening here, it’s very apparent that I am a victim of a romance scam. My husband has used TLC, his family, his friends, people around the world. And I’m going to apologize to everyone here. I did not know that my husband, Sojaboy, was that desperate to become a singer that he would use me and his family and friends. And TLC, the show,” started out Hamme.
She went on to add, “The interviews that he’s been doing have been nothing but a publicity stunt.”
Hamme continued, “He blocked me on all platforms so I don’t know what’s going on and that’s the sad part because everyone comes and tells me what’s going on. … I cannot believe Sojaboy is gonna try and come off as a saint. This man had nothing when I met him, nothing.”
“He used me and my daughter, telling us that he loved us, that we were the only people that mattered in his life, that he would love me until the day I die,” Hamme claimed.

90 Day Fiancé fans had mixed reactions to Babygirl Lisa Hamme claiming that Usman Umar was using her the entire time.
During the live chat, one user wrote, “Enough is enough Lisa, just cut ties with him, he’s so f*cked up.”
Another added, “Lisa please don’t give him what he wants and stop referring to him as Sojaboy, that’s just promoting him more.”
One Instagram user commented, “Usman is finally standing up to her and she can’t take it.”
A YouTube commenter wrote, “She is the most vile human to be on that show! Does she honestly think we believe 1 word she barks? As if Usman was interested in her old a**. Her and her delusional fake life can disappear now.”
