‘90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Season 5 Cast: Meet the 7 New Couples
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days is back for season 5! The brand new season, airing Dec. 12 on TLC, will feature seven new couples who think they’re ready to take their online relationships to the next level by finally meeting for the first time. Between language barrier, age gaps, and height differences, there will be many obstacles to overcome. Check out the brand new cast of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5 (via EW).
Kim and Usman ‘Sojaboy’
50-year-old Kim from San Diego, California, reached out to former 90 Day Fiancé star, 32-year-old Usman, a.k.a Soja Boy from Sokoto, Nigeria. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, fans recognized him from season 4 when he married ‘Baby girl’ Lisa, an older white woman from America. Usman is moving on from his divorce from Lisa and talking to Kim, who has slowly turned from “fan” to “potential girlfriend.”
Because of his history with American women, he’s hesitant to commit to Kim until they meet in person. He’s invited her to Tanzania, where he will also be shooting a rap video. Kim is risking it all, heading to Tanzania to meet Usman for the first time. She hopes to prove that she’s nothing like his ex-wife, Lisa. However, based on the trailer, the relationship takes a turn for the worst when she throws water in Usman’s face.
Caleb and Alina
Alina and Caleb first connected online as teens, but after losing touch for 13 years, Caleb and Alina matched on a dating site. Caleb was planning a trip to Saint Petersburg, Russia, where Alina is from, where they picked up where they left off. Now, 28-year-old Caleb, from Chandler, Arizona, is taking a trip to meet Alina in Turkey to see how deep the connection is in real life.
However, there are physical differences that could cause issues in their relationship. Alina is a little person, which prevents her from walking and standing for long periods of time, meaning she often uses a wheelchair as her form of transportation. Will this cause a hindrance to Caleb’s active lifestyle? On top of that, Caleb also has to prove himself to Alina’s protective best friend and roommate, Elijah, who accompanies them on their trip to Turkey.
Gino and Jasmine
51-year-old automotive engineer Gino is leaving Canton, Michigan, to meet the love of his life, a 34-year-old American literature teacher named Jasmine, in Panama City, Panama. Gino, fresh out of a seven-year-long marriage with a Brazillian woman, found Jasmine on an international dating site.
Now that he’s divorced, he’s looking to start a family with Jasmine as soon as possible. He hopes that he and Jasmine will be engaged and pregnant by the end of this trip to Panama. However, trouble ensues when Jasmine looks through Gino’s phone to find that he’s been talking to other women. Could Jasmine’s jealousy put an end to the relationship before it even gets started?
Memphis and Hamza
34-year-old Memphis, a divorced single mom of two kids from Muskegon, Michigan, fell in love with 28-year-old Hamza from Kairouan, Tunisia. The two began talking online, and after months of daily video calls and texts, Hamza proposed to Memphis. She said yes and is going to meet Hamza for the first time in Tunisia. Memphis will meet her prince charming despite her family and friends being worried about the relationship and the language barrier.
However, after dealing with a difficult childhood, toxic relationships in adulthood, Memphis is looking for someone who can be the missing piece to complete her family. She hopes that she and Hamza will hit it off and they can get married on this trip. However, it seems that despite getting to know each other online, there’s a lot they don’t know.
Mike and Ximena
34-year-old Mike from Thiells, New York, fell for 24-year-old Ximena from Pereira, Colombia. After being single most of his life, Mike felt like he finally found the one when he matched with a single mother of two on an international dating site. The language barrier is the first hurdle they’ll face, as neither can speak each other’s languages. Thanks to a translator app, the two have fallen in love. Now Mike is going to Colombia to meet Ximena.
Despite the 10-year age gap, the two are already talking about marriage and children. Mike hopes that once they meet and hit it off, he will propose to Ximena. However, according to the trailer, Ximena’s feelings for Mike aren’t as strong as his love for her.
Ella and Johnny
29-year-old Ella from Idaho Falls, Idaho, who has always been attracted to Asian cultures, met Johnny on a site exclusively for white women to meet Asian men. Ella thinks she may have found her “Asian prince,” 34-year-old Johnny from Jinan, China. After months of video chats, they are ready for the next step in their relationship.
However, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic keeping China’s borders closed, Jonny prepares to come to Idaho to meet Ella for the first time. Johnny hopes to propose to Ella. However, due to Ella’s history of rejection that her weight has caused her, she’s anxious about what Johnny will think of her in person. Despite their families’ skepticism and concern, Ella and Johnny are ready to meet.
Ben and Mahogany
52-year-old Ben from Fraser, Michigan, a former pastor of a strict, conservative religious sect, left his marriage and old life behind. He struggled to get on his feet and, despite being homeless, found work as a model. After being featured in a fitness magazine, everything changed for Ben. The cover sparked the attention of 24-year-old Mahogany from San Bartolo, Peru.
The DM led to more messages, and they quickly bonded over their shared religious views. They fell in love and plan on meeting in person. Despite the significant 28-year age gap, red flags, and the fact that they’ve never video-chatted, Ben believes God brought them to each other. It will be interesting to see if their relationship is divinely created or if it ends up being trickery and lies.
