Nigerian rapper Usman’ SojaBoy’ Umar is back on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days after divorcing his ex-wife, ‘Baby girl’ Lisa Hamme. He has his sights set on yet another older American woman, Kimberly. Here’s what we know about Usman’s relationship with Kimberly on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5.
Usman ‘Sojaboy’ Umar is back on ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Season 5
On Oct. 18, TLC revealed that Usman would be returning to the franchise when the official trailer for 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days TLC dropped season 5. 50-year-old Kimberly from San Diego, California reached out to 32-year-old Usman. He moved on from his divorce from his ex-wife, Lisa, by talking to Kimberly. She is slowly turning from “fan” to “potential girlfriend.” Watch the trailer for 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5 in the Instagram post below:
Kimberly says, “I flew halfway across the world to meet the man of my dreams.” She explained how they started talking, saying, “I messaged him, and he messaged me back, and I was like ‘oh my god!’ And that’s how I fell in love with international superstar, Usman a.k.a. Sojaboy.”
What happened to his ex-wife ‘Baby girl’ Lisa?
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Day fans watched as 30-year-old Usman met 52-year-old Lisa for the first time when she flew out to Nigeria. He swooned Lisa by making her that now-infamous song, “I Love You” by SojaBoy. However, it was eventually Lisa’s jealousy of Usman having “females” around him and her controlling behavior that caused the most tension in the relationship.
Despite the cultural differences and age gap causing both families to be skeptical of the relationship, the pair ended up getting married. While in Nigeria, Lisa and Usman made it official before she had to return to the United States. However, their marriage didn’t last. Sojaboy and ‘Baby girl’ Lisa split in May 2020 because Lisa believed that Usman was scamming her.
Later in the year, Usman served Lisa with divorce papers, but she didn’t want to accept their relationship was over. Eventually, she did accept the divorce, and the two got divorced. Quickly after Lisa moved and married her current husband, Tracey, on Apr. 22, 2021.
Is Kimberly another ‘Baby girl’ Lisa?
Because of his history with American women, Usman is hesitant to commit to Kimberly until they meet in person. He’s invited her to Tanzania, where he will also be shooting a rap video. She packs her bags and travels to Tanzania to meet her online love for the first time. She wants to prove that she’s nothing like his ex-wife, Lisa.
However, the trailer teases that there will be plenty of drama. Kimberly asks Usman, “Why would you bring me here to shoot a video about another woman?” Usman says, “This is funny.” That’s when Kimberly throws a cup of water in Usman’s face before she says “f— you” to him before leaving.
Is Kimberly another Lisa? There is no denying the similarities between the two situations. Both women are American, white, and in their 50’s, who travel to the other side of the globe to meet Usman. Also, it appears that both of the women struggle with dealing with their jealousy of Usman’s female fans. It will be interesting to see if Kimberly and Usman will get married as he did with Lisa. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 5 premieres Dec. 12, 2021, on TLC.
