’90 Day Fiance’: Big Ed Brown Admits to Being Wrong

Big Ed Brown has just made mistake after mistake this season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. He started off his relationship with Rose Vega lying about his height and then he just continued to embarrass her for the rest of their time together. Eventually, Vega had had enough and broke up with him. Now, Brown is finally owning up to some of his mistakes and what went wrong.

What happened between Rose and Big Ed?

When Vega and Brown met online, Brown lied about his height. Though she was disappointed when she finally met Brown, Vega let the lie go and continued dating him.

Shortly after he arrived in the Philipines, Brown asked Vega to take an STD test to prove she was clean. Then, he asked her to shave her legs. And, as if the whole leg-shaving debacle wasn’t insulting enough, he told her that her breath stank and gifted her with some mouthwash.

But even throughout all of that, Vega continued to give Brown more chances. It wasn’t until he told her that he didn’t want any more kids that she finally left him.

“I should have been more truthful,” Brown said. “I apologize. I should’ve said I don’t want more kids, but I wanted to get to know you. I wanted [you] to get to know me to make sure we are compatible.”

I know who [you are]. I think,” Vega responded. “First [you] lied to me about [your] height. Right? Then, you want to give me an STD test right? And about mouthwash, why you tell me? You know I [am] sick, I have [an] ulcer.

“I’m disappointed because you always embarrassed me,” she continued. “I think [you] don’t love me. I’m done.”

What went wrong?

A lot of couples on 90 Day Fiance break up and makeup again. But Vega and Brown did not do that.

“We have parted ways, with a heavy heart,” Brown told ET Canada in a recent interview. “The breakup is so fresh that I’m just going to keep an open mind.”

Brown attributes the breakup to differing desires in life.

“We wanted different things. Rose wanted what she wanted, and I wanted what I wanted,” he said. “We just weren’t in alignment.”

Brown went on to discuss why he didn’t tell Vega about his plans to get a vasectomy earlier on in the relationship.

“She had slightly mentioned that she wanted a baby girl and that was it, that was all we talked about kids, it was a one-time convo when we first met and I honestly kind of forgot about it,” he said.

And he does realize that he could have gone about the STD testing and bad breath conversations differently.

“It really did piss her off when I asked her to take the STD test,” he said. “I was very concerned with her hygiene, I obviously didn’t handle that in the right way, I thought balancing the lingerie with the toothpaste was a good idea, that backfired!”

Is Big Ed dating someone new?

Though Brown has not introduced fans to any new women in his life, he has said that he has received 37 marriage proposals since breaking up with Vega.
