’90 Day Fiancé’: Big Ed Brown’s Biggest Regret From the Show Will Surprise You
Everyone has regrets. But luckily, for most people, those regretful moments aren’t broadcast for everyone to see. 90 Day Fiancé star Big Ed Brown has had a lot of cringeworthy moments on the show and its spinoffs. From awkwardly showering with his ex-girlfriend Rose Vega’s father to telling Vega that she had bad breath, fans cringed throughout many of Brown’s scenes. But what does Brown actually regret?
Big Ed Brown’s journey on ’90 Day Fiancé’
Brown joined 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in season 4. At the time, he was dating Vega. He went to the Philippines to meet her in person. While there, the two had a number of disagreements. Brown told Vega she needed to shave her legs, that her breath stunk, and asked her to get an STD test. They eventually broke up after Brown revealed that he did not want anymore children.
Brown’s relationship with Vega wasn’t the end of his time in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. He then appeared on The Single Life where he tried to find a new girlfriend. He ended up dating a woman named Liz but by the time the Tell-All came around, the two had broken up due to Brown rushing the relationship.
What is Big Ed Brown’s biggest regret?
Despite his failed relationships, Brown’s biggest regret isn’t a romantic one. If he could re-do his time on the show, he says that he wouldn’t have asked Vega “on international TV to brush her teeth.”
“That will never go away,” he told Us Weekly. “That, followed by the [asking her to take an] STD [test] were probably my biggest blunders. … Everything moved so quickly. When I got back, I was tested. I was fine. Those are my two main regrets.”
He also wishes that he would have made different outfit choices and worn less black.
“Because it’s a reality show, nobody comes over with a lint brush,” he said.
Does Big Ed regret his relationship with Rose Vega?
Brown doesn’t look back too fondly on his relationship with Vega.
“When I returned back from the Philippines [in September], I really came back, like, that was just a waste of my money and a complete waste of my time, and I failed,” he told the outlet in January. “Luckily, I didn’t lose my daughter, which was my biggest concern. I didn’t think about women, and then I’m like, ‘OK, it’s been eight months. Ed, are you going to get back on the horse again?’”
But before jumping back into the dating pool, he did look back over his relationship with Vega to learn a few things.
“What attracted me to Rose the most was that she admired me, and that felt really good. Like after a while, when somebody looks up to you, it feels good. But she opened my heart to love,” he said. “Even though it didn’t work out, I came back to San Diego, I got some retrospect on who I wanted to be. And the most recent person that I met was unexpected, and that’s what love is. It really just catches you off-guard, and you never know where it’s going to take you. You never know if it’s going to work out. Love’s a crapshoot.”
