TLC viewers watched Big Ed Brown attempt to navigate his rocky, awkward relationship with Rose Vega on the fourth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. He was often criticized by fans and castmates alike over his treatment of Rose. It didn’t sit well with the public, especially, when Ed asked Rose to shave her legs and brush her teeth.

“[Ed] really came across the screen as the worst American man everyone would ever meet in the world. Because he insulted the woman,” said 90 Day Fiancé star Lisa Hamme in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on May 22.

When a girl threw a brick at Big Ed’s head

It seems Big Ed Brown’s relationship with women has been rocky since the beginning. The reality TV star recently took to his social accounts to tell a story of when a little girl threw a brick at his head.

“When I was four years old, I wanted to go on this swing. And this girl was in the swing and, apparently, she wouldn’t let me take my turn so I ended up having to push her out of the swing,” he said, adding that, after pushing the girl, he began swinging away.

“She got so mad at me that she threw a brick at my head. And I ended up having to go to the E.R. And all I remember is looking in a mirror and seeing the doctor stick a big needle in the top of my head,” he said.

Big Ed says that the moral os the story is: “Don’t push girls out of swings because you want to swing because then she’ll throw a brick at your head.”

“I learned that the hard way,” he concluded.

“It’s come to this : you’re telling pointless stories just to stay in the public eye,” wrote one Instagram user.
