Big Ed Brown was in a relationship with Rosemarie Vega at 1 point

In the past, Big Ed, who was 54 at the time, was dating a woman named Rosemarie “Rose” Vega, who was 23. They met on Facebook, and Ed flew to the Philippines where Rose lives. But there were problems from the start as well as complaints from Ed. Plus, he also lied about his height. Ed even asked Rose to take an STD test. He also made comments about her shaving her legs and her breath.

Rose was hopeful for a proposal, but when she finds out Ed doesn’t want any more children, things fizzled out quickly. Rose wanted more kids, and Ed wanted to get a vasectomy. After that realization, Rose broke up with Ed.

In episode 1 of 90 Day: The Single Life, Big Ed, 55 and living in San Diego, California, is back in the dating game with several dating profiles. We’ll get to see his journey this season, and it’s going to be a fun ride. He even sees a dating coach, so it’s clear that he’s serious about finding someone.

Ed has a crush now on a 28-year-old woman named Liz, who works at his favorite restaurant as a manager. In the first episode, he asks her out while she’s at work, but we don’t get to hear her answer just yet. In the preview for the upcoming episode, he inquires if she’s “busy” the following evening, which she is. Liz tells the cameras that she’s “glad” that she’s wearing a mask “to cover up” her “facial expression.” She even adds that she’s “baffled,” so things could go either way.

Ed also opens up about his past in the premiere, including in regards to the serious relationship he was in with his daughter Tiffany’s mother, Sandra. But they were divorced two years after getting married when Ed cheated, and the subsequent breakup almost “destroyed” him.

“I do want to find love, but I’ve been not so lucky in the past,” he tells the cameras. “I was a late bloomer when it comes to dating. I never really had a serious girlfriend before my ex-wife. I was married once. She was my first love, my first everything. Everything was great, and she got pregnant with our daughter, Tiffany, but we just started to fall out of love. And then I was unfaithful. It was a one-night event entanglement, and that breakup almost destroyed me.”

Will Big Ed find love this time around? We’ll have to see what the future holds for this 90 Day Fiancé alumni.
