’90 Day Fiancé’: Big Ed Claims He’d Ditch His Daughter to Get Rose Vega Back, Fans React
90 Day Fiancé star Big Ed has made a lot of mistakes during his time on the TLC franchise. Many fans came to the conclusion that the reality star didn’t truly care for Rose Vega — rather, they felt he was looking for a young Asian woman to groom and shape as he pleased. His behavior towards Vega earned him a lot of hate online, and since the season started, it’s only ramped up as Big Ed has continued to dig himself deeper with his behavior. Now, following the Tell All episode, fans are shocked and disgusted after hearing Big Ed claim he’d ditch his daughter for another chance at Vega.
Fans felt as though Big Ed treated Rose Vega like a kid
90 Day Fiancé fans were not impressed with how Big Ed treated Rose Vega during their time together in the Philippines. Many felt as though he infantilized her, and were already turned off by the fact that he was seeking out an intimate relationship with a woman younger than his daughter.
Notably, Ed seemed to have no qualms about policing Vega’s body. Very early on in their time together, he asked her to start shaving her legs for him. He told her, “Um, don’t be mad at me, but um, I noticed your legs were kind of like mine, they were hairy. Would you shave your legs?”
He later gifted her a toothbrush and mouthwash, and told her she has bad breath. She explained that she has a stomach ulcer that impacts her breath, and that she brushes her teeth every day.
Fans noted that Ed switched his tone when talking Vega. One Redditor pointed out, “I hate how he talks to her like a baby. ‘These are clothes. For outside. the beach. This is for your top!’ Like, [of course] she knows what a bikini is. She lives in the Philippines [for f*ck’s sake]. Not some secluded, never been contacted village on K2.”
“He speaks to her in that fake-soft voice like she’s a tween. She’s a 23 year old woman with a son. Caloocan is in Metro Manila, and she’s obviously internet savvy and speaks English,” added another.
Big Ed suggested he’d bail on his daughter for Rose Vega
Big Ed explained to 90 Day Fiancé producers that his relationship with his daughter, Tiffany, had been shaky in recent times. Following his split from Rose Vega, he seemed to try and make amends with Tiffany.
He told her, “I was selfish, and I’m sorry. One thing I definitely want you to know is that you were and are and have always been the love of my life…and I did realize, well, I probably flushed that all down the toilet. And that’s what scared me the most. But for what it’s worth, I’m sorry for not listening to you and that I hurt you.”
However, when he thought Tiffany wasn’t around to hear, he did a complete 180. During the 90 Day Fiancé Tell All episode, Big Ed claimed he would give up his relationship with his daughter for another shot at Vega. Suffice it to say, this was a big blow to any credibility the reality star had left.

90 Day Fiancé fans seemed shocked on Tiffany’s behalf, even as she went ahead and continued to defend her father against Rose Vega and his haters.
One Redditor wrote, “She was totally projecting her resentment towards the wrong person cause her own father doesn’t take responsibility and has probably brought a lot of disappointment… so she vents at the next person in line.”
A user replied, “Yes!! She just got her dad back in her life, and she doesn’t want to lose him again, even though he said he was ready to ruin his relationship with her to be with Rose. She loves her dad despite the fact that he’s a garbage human, so she attacks Rose to win favor from him. It’s EXTREMELY painful when a parent picks a romantic partner over their own kid.”
