’90 Day Fiance’: Big Ed Is Trying to Shut Online Trolls Up by Donating to Charity
Big Ed Brown has not had the easiest run on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. Fans and his girlfriend, Rose Vega, have all come at him for certain decisions that he made throughout the season. Now that the season is coming to a close, Brown has decided to do something to shut all of his internet trolls up. But it’s not what you might think.
Big Ed gets in hot water with fans
Brown did not start off on the right foot with fans after he lied to Vega about his height before meeting her. Then, he asked her to take an STD test. As if he hadn’t done enough, he pretty much demanded that she shave her legs.
Fans immediately called him out for wanting her to shave her legs which caused Brown to reconsider his actions.
“I woke up last Sunday morning and it wasn’t a good morning because all of the haters came out,” he told Us Weekly. “I had asked Rose if she would shave her legs, and people were really upset about that. And I was having a conversation with my daughter Tiffany, and she’s like, ‘Dad, look, that’s completely normal. I live in San Diego. Everybody goes to the beach, people laser their legs.’ … So it wasn’t something that I was really used to.”
In a later episode, he told Vega that her breath stunk, which caused him to get even more heat.
“How can big Ed complain about bad breath while his hair smells like rotten eggs from all the Mayo? #90DaysFianceBeforeThe90Days #90DayFiance,” one fan tweeted.
“So I watched an episode of ’90 Day Fiance’ out of pure curiosity, and Big Ed is mad disrespectful, bought Rosemarie mouthwash and a toothbrush and told her ‘your breath is not pretty,'” another person said.
“So Big Ed waits until after he sleeps with Rose, says her breath stinks and insults her virtue with STD test before he says he doesn’t want kids,” another fan wrote. “And has the nerve to ask if she loves him #90dayfiancebeforethe90days.”
Big Ed’s response to trolls
After getting so much hate for many of his actions, Brown took to Instagram to address some of the comments he had been getting.
“What’s up you guys, Big Ed here, obviously, listen I’m working my a*s off doing these d*mn Cameos,” he said in a video.
“I’m just trying to share a message. The message is love yourself and laugh at yourself. If you can’t do that, you’re fu*ked. Excuse my language but you are I’m sorry. You know what someone told me today on Instagram. They said ‘Ed, I hope Big Ed gets the Corona.’ That is hilarious. But it’s not but it is. Because I know what they mean. They are just kidding. Just love each other.”
And now, he is reportedly selling Big Ed Wear merchandise to benefit organizations that work to stop online bullying.
“A a portion of my proceeds are going to be donated to online bullying because it just sucks and I’m tired of seeing it,” he said in another video. “So I’m going to make whatever difference I can in this world by helping out in that manner.”
