’90 Day Fiance’: Big Ed Responds to Fans’ Claims That He Used to Be a Model
Big Ed Brown has been one of the most talked-about members of this season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. Being insecure about his looks, Brown lied to his girlfriend and began using black dye on his hair that made it itch so bad that he had to put mayonnaise on his locks. Recently, old pictures surfaced of Brown and fans went crazy over how good he looked. Now, Brown has finally commented on the photos.
Ed Brown lies about his appearance
One of the biggest drawbacks to online dating is that the person could be completely lying about who they are. Brown didn’t lie about everything when talking to Rose but he did lie about his appearance.
“So, I wasn’t completely honest with Rose about [my height] and a couple of other things,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s never a good idea to lie. You have to be honest and I’m learning that even if you have strong feelings for someone, it’s better to get it out in the open. If not, it’s gonna come back and bite you.”
Luckily for Brown, Rose was able to get over his looks and still continued dating him.
Old pictures of Ed surface
Recently, some photos of Brown at the San Diego zoo in 1988 surfaced, showing Brown looking like a different person. Fans were shocked at how he used to look.
“This actually puts a lot of his behaviors in context,” one person tweeted. “While he clearly has some congenital issue with his neck, he was at some point a fairly decent looking guy. The problem is, he isn’t anymore and is acting like he’s hot sh*t.”
“It is so sad,” another fan said. “I would never go outside if I’d fallen so far.”
“Ed really fell from grace,” another person said.
What does Ed have to say about the photos?
Brown still isn’t really sure why there has been so much hype surrounding his old photos.
“What is up with that, oh my god,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight of all the attention. “They’re saying, ‘Ed used to be a model,’ and I’m like, ‘Thank you very much,’ and then one of my waiters said, ‘You look like a young Patrick Swayze.'”
“I fluctuate through my life,” he continued. “I’m fit one year and I’m not the next, but … now, I’m inspired. For them to call me out that I used to be a model, and then they do the dichotomy sketch where they show my before and after … look, it’s something that I have to look into.”
Since the show ended, Brown says that he has lost seven pounds just by doing in-home workouts, but he doesn’t want to stop there. His goal is to lose 35 pounds before the end of the summer.
As far as where his relationship stands with Rose, Brown hasn’t been able to specify if they are together or not. But he has said that he is really happy with where his life is right now.
