This season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days had its fair share of crazy clashes between prospective partners, but a few couples proved to have more differences than similarities. One such couple was Big Ed Brown and his girlfriend, Rosemarie Vega.
Big Ed Brown and Rosemarie Vega seemed to be very mismatched
Vega a single mom from a small village in the Philippines, while Brown is a California photographer with a skin condition. She doesn’t own a bed, and he can’t sleep on sheets with less than 1,000 thread count.
What’s more, Brown is considerably older than Vega. But that didn’t stop him from going all the way from the US to the Philippines to meet Vega, in hopes of taking their relationship to the next level.
To his credit, Brown really did try to get along well with Vega and her family. He stayed in her small village, even though the conditions were clearly not up to his standards. Despite the fact that he left early to take Vega on a mini-vacation, she seemed happy with the effort he put in.
But Brown wasn’t always happy with Vega. Early on he asked her to take an STD test and was constantly badgering her to tell him about her past sexual history. She felt that a relationship should be based on trust, and Brown’s requests showed that he doesn’t trust her.
It turns out, maybe Vega shouldn’t have trusted Big Ed Brown. They’re no longer together, and she thinks he used her for fame. He admitted to lying to her multiple times.
He’s trying to spread some nasty rumors about Vega, but fans aren’t having it. They’ve seen how manipulative he can be, and now he’s been accused of sexual assault.
A former coworker accused Big Ed Brown of sexual assault
Lorelei Clemens, a former acquaintance of Brown’s, has said that he sexually harassed her and assaulted her over a period of a few years. She was 24 when she and Brown met, which happens to be the same age as Vega. She claims Brown groomed her, to the point where she was unable to realize that his escalating behavior was inappropriate.
Apparently the final incident was so bad that Clemens was hospitalized. According to Clemens, Brown’s behavior “progressively got worse. By the end of it, I ended up in the hospital from an incident that happened with him, and I ended up having a lot of health issues from it. This was about four years ago, so I’ve been still trying to heal myself since that incident.”
Fans think Big Ed Brown will say anything to get what he wants
Brown hasn’t responded to the sexual assault allegations directly. He did post a video after they came to light, with a message that might have been a vague reference to the situation. Brown went on Instagram and referenced haters sending him death wishes. In the end, his message was: “Just love each other.”
Although he never denied the allegations, fans wouldn’t care if he did. He’s proven himself to be untruthful, and fans are pretty sure he’ll say anything to get what he wants. He lied to Vega about wanting children, and about his height.
That was bad enough, but his actions on the Tell All episode really take the cake. He promised Vega he would do anything to get her back, including end his relationship with his daughter. Then moments later, he said he would never jeopardize his relationship with his daughter for Vega again. Fans’ heads were spinning.
Brown and his daughter had a rocky relationship while he was on the show. She had stopped talking to him because she didn’t approve of him going to the Philippines to meet Vega. It’s unlikely his relationship with her will get better after she sees the Tell All episode.
For fans, seeing Brown make a false promise and then backtrack when his daughter appears spotlights that he will say what he needs to say at the moment to get what he wants. As such, it casts a shadow of doubt on all the accusations Brown has made against Vega.
