’90 Day Fiancé’: Brittany Banks Claps Back at Haters Who Accuse Her of Using Yazan, Says ‘Nobody on TLC Is Famous’
Brittany Banks is tired of fans coming at her. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star has gotten a lot of heat from fans who claim that she was using her fiancé Yazan to become famous or boost her rap career. Banks has constantly denied these claims and recently went off on fans, saying that everything would be clear after the tell-all.
Brittany Banks and Yazan’s relationship
Banks and Yazan are a bit like oil and water. Yazan comes from a conservative background and grew up with traditional Muslim views. Banks, on the other hand, is a free spirit who likes to party and live laviously. Despite their differences, the two fell in love and got engaged.
But as soon as Banks arrived in Jordan, trouble started brewing. Banks was unwilling to convert to Islam or change her ways to appease Yazan and his family.
Brittany felt tricked
Anyone who watches the show could tell early on that Banks was not going to mesh well with Yazan’s family’s way of doing things. So, when fans began to ask Banks why she moved to Jordan even though she knew what would be expected of her, Banks revealed that Yazan tricked her.
“I feel like [there are] so many context clues in the show that shows that,” Banks commented under a video of herself. “A woman like me isn’t gonna up and move to a country like that unless the person I’m dating can accept me as I am and the environment permits.
“Do y’all miss the parts on TV where he tells me one thing and tells his parents another, then gives me a random ultimatum pressuring me because of the lies he told his parents?” she continued. “I’m tired of being attacked when he knew exactly who I was when he pursued me and still does. Jordan culture does not prohibit this. His particular family does not like it, but I don’t live to please them.”
Brittany Banks says no one from TLC is famous
When Instagram users started commenting under the video, saying that Banks was using Yazan for fame, she was quick to clap back.
“Nobody on TLC is famous. If I wanted to be famous it would be off a rapper or athlete I dated not Yazan a*s,” she wrote in comments captured by Screen Rant. “When the Tell-All come out I hope I get my apology from every single woman who attacked me and judged my character.”
Before dating Yazan, Banks dated a number of rich, older men. Now, she has been linked to former 90 Day Fiancé castmember Usman Umar, however, she has denied dating him.
“So, I wouldn’t know what to think of him,” Banks said in a Cameo to YouTuber YourWetSock of Umar. “I haven’t heard his music, so I don’t know what to think of that. I guess he’s a handsome dude, he’s a good-looking guy and as far as I’m concerned I need more than looks to be into somebody but yea, I’m sure a lot of people consider him good looking and if he likes me, I don’t know anything about that.”
