’90 Day Fiancé’ Cast Reacts to Geoffrey Paschel’s Trial Verdict
90 Day Fiancé star Geoffrey Paschel has been found guilty on three charges levied against him by his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Chapman nee Wilson. Paschel has been a controversial cast member from the get-go, as portions of the accusations laid out against him were leaked during his time on the show. In fact, 90 Day Fiancé viewers even started a Change.org petition to have Paschel removed. Now, Paschel is facing jail time. Here’s how other 90 Day Fiancé cast has reacted to the news.
Geoffrey Paschel found guilty on all charges
90 Day Fiancé star Geoffrey Paschel was charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, interfering with an emergency call, and vandalism. He was found guilty of the first three charges and could face between 8-30 years in prison.
The Affidavit of Complaint includes statements made by Kristen in which she described Paschel’s attack. It reads that he “grabbed her by the neck and slammed her head against the wall several times.” She also exhibited signs of a concussion when treated by paramedics on the scene.
Paschel claimed that Kristen’s injuries were self-inflicted. When he was arrested, he tried to kick the windows out of the police patrol car.
During the trial which was televised on Court TV, Kristen opened up about the specifics behind Geoffrey’s attack.
“The next thing I remember I was on the floor in front of my staircase, to the upstairs. And he had me by the back of my head and was hitting my face into the floor, and I was screaming for him to stop,” she explained.
“When I was screaming, I was trying to get away, but I couldn’t. He was too strong,” she added.
“This is all just a ploy, this is all just an agenda to make me lose custody of my child,” Paschel had previously claimed on The Domenick Nati Show.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ cast members react to the trial
Some 90 Day Fiancé cast members, like Jon J. Walters, maintained a friendship with Geoffrey Paschel and tried to defend him previously.
“My relationship and friendship with Geoffrey ended today along with his presumption of innocence,” Walters wrote in part on his Instagram story. However, he managed to cast Kristen’s comments in a doubtful light nevertheless, writing that he “hopes” she’s telling the truth.
Other cast members also had things to say about Geoffrey Paschel’s trial, including Deavan Clegg, who has been vocal about her dislike for Paschel given the accusations against him.
“Verdict. Guilty. I’m happy justice was served. Being a DV victim myself. I’m so happy she got justice. I’m happy she can finally feel safe. No one should ever have to go through that,” Clegg wrote on her story.
“Apparently he could have accepted an early deal that involved no jail time and basically no other issues. If he was so confident to go to trial is there something we are missing?” wrote Corey Rathgeber, playing amateur detective.
“I truly do hope they got everything right. Because if so he deserves every bit of the sentencing IMO,” Rathgeber added.
Babygirl Lisa Hamme and Natalie Mordovtseva, who have also spent time with Geoffrey, have not said anything about his trial on social media.
