’90 Day Fiancé’: Colt Johnson Tells His Mom That His Girlfriend Is ‘Loud’ in Bed in New ‘Happily Ever After’ Sneak Peek
Colt Johnson and his mom, Debbie Johnson, headed to Brazil together on a recent episode of the fifth season of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. The 34-year-old Las Vegas software engineer—still reeling somewhat from his divorce from his Brazilian ex-wife, Larissa Dos Santos Lima—wanted his mom to meet his new Brazilian girlfriend, Jess Caroline, and her family.
But things didn’t exactly go smoothly. Debbie, exhausted from her trip and confused about Jess and Colt’s talk of future children so early in their relationship, snapped and shouted at the couple shortly after her arrival in the unfamiliar country. Debbie’s behavior led Jess to be somewhat wary of her potential future mother-in-law.
What’s more, both Jess and Debbie were annoyed to find out that Colt had originally booked only one hotel room for all three of them to share. (He hastily booked another hotel room after they complained.)
In a new sneak peek of an upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Colt sat down with his mom to discuss her treatment of Jess. He also shared some TMI details about his sex life with his new girlfriend, which left Debbie feeling more than a little uncomfortable.
Colt’s mom admitted she had a ‘meltdown’ after arriving in Brazil
In a TLC preview clip of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After on Instagram, Debbie sat down for breakfast with Colt. She asked her son where he and Jess had gone after she laid down for a much-needed nap after their flight.
“Where did you guys go last night? I woke up and nobody was there,” she wanted to know.
“We got a new room,” Colt explained. “That’s how you can sleep, relax. I know you had a really hard day traveling and everything.”
Of her behavior the previous day, Debbie explained that her exhaustion had left her irritable and frustrated. She had never been outside the U.S. before, so she wasn’t accustomed to long flights or international travel.
“Yesterday, Colt and I flew over 15 hours, and it was overwhelming,” the 90 Day Fiancé star told TLC producers. “I kind of had a meltdown.”
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ star had an awkward conversation with his mom about his sex life with Jess
Colt’s mom assured her son that she was more than happy not to share a hotel room with him, especially because Jess and Colt were always open about how much they enjoyed their sex life with one another.
“I’m actually very happy that you and Jess decided to get your own room, because it would be very, very awkward for me for me to be in one room and you to be in the room having sex or whatever you did,” Debbie told Colt, who smirked in response. “I don’t want to know. So, I’m very thankful. I had the ocean to listen to.”
But Colt didn’t take the hint, and instead provided an unnecessary detail about his active sex life with his girlfriend.
“I’m thankful too, because Jess is pretty loud,” the 90 Day Fiancé star told his mom.
“I don’t need to know that,” Debbie reminded Colt, grimacing in horror at the anecdote.
Debbie admitted she was concerned about how fast Colt’s relationship was moving
Next, Colt switched the topic to something a little more serious. At their dinner date the night before, Jess asked her American boyfriend why his mother had yelled and slammed doors so soon after arriving in Brazil instead of giving Jess a friendlier welcome.
“Jess was talking to me a little bit last night—we had a conversation about what happened earlier,” Colt told Debbie. “Jess feels like you’re mad at her or angry at her, like she did something wrong.”
Debbie admitted that Colt and Jess’ talk of a future together—including potential children’s names—had left her feeling unsettled.
“Well, you guys were talking in the car about your future, and children, and getting married,” she pointed out. “And it’s like, we were here just for an hour, and all of a sudden, you guys are—”
“I’ve known Jess for quite a while now,” Colt cut in, reminding his mom that he had been speaking to Jess for some time.
But Debbie wasn’t convinced that Colt was ready for a commitment, especially so soon after his divorce from Larissa. “Not long enough,” the 90 Day Fiancé star declared.
