’90 Day Fiancé’: Deavan Clegg Almost Quit Show Because of Geoffrey Paschel
90 Day Fiancé star Deavan Clegg recently got into a big fight with Geoffrey Paschel on Instagram. Clegg called out Paschel for criticizing her daughter, and pointed out his own incredibly checkered past. She went on to reveal that she almost quit the show when she learned Paschel was being given air time. And she’s not the only one who felt frustrated about that — fans had previously started a petition to have Paschel removed from the show.
Fans started a petition to remove Geoffrey Paschel
90 Day Fiancé star Geoffrey Paschel is facing down a variety of alarming claims laid out against him by his exes. Notably, in June of 2019 Paschel was arrested following charges against him from his ex-girlfriend.
Paschel’s ex-girlfriend claims that he became physically violent with her, and tried to prevent her from calling for help during his assault. She claims, “He repeatedly bashed/slammed my head into the hardwood floors of my home. He dragged me through the house by my hair and continued throwing my body into walls and furniture. I know this because of blood on my walls, furniture, etc.”
Police reports reveal that officers “observed a large raised bruise on [her] forehead and abrasions on her elbows and knees.” She was diagnosed with a concussion at the hospital. Paschel has faced accusations of domestic violence and rape from his exes in the past, as well as claims that he used his child as a drug mule.
Fans of the show started a petition on Change.org to have Paschel removed from the show. The petition read, in part, “Geoffrey Paschel is on the currently airing TLC show ‘90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.’ This petition is to remove him from the show and have him appear on no further shows due to current allegations and criminal charges made against him. We would also like to make advertisers aware of what they are supporting, and hope to see that your companies will not stand for promoting such atrocities as these.”
Deavan Clegg calls out Paschel during Instagram spat
Deavan Clegg and Geoffrey Paschel got into an argument on Instagram when Paschel made disparaging remarks about Clegg’s daughter.
When Clegg came for her fellow 90 Day Fiancé alum, she went right for the jugular. Clegg wrote to Paschel, “You’re really going to come after me and my daughter like that? You’re absolutely f*cking disgusting. I saw those comments you posted. My daughter’s 4 grow up. I’m not the one who lost custody. You did. Secondly I was in [an abusive] relationship and I saw your police reports. You’re a disgusting human being for what you did. And there’s a reason you were fired. Don’t attack me and my child when I don’t even know you.”
Geoffrey replied, “I can’t get enough of ignorance – it’s comical. I don’t come after children…it’s not their fault. It is the parent behind it. If I were you, I’d focus on raising them instead of letting other people.”
Deavan Clegg almost quit ‘90 Day Fiancé’
Deavan Clegg went on to call out Geoffrey Paschel even further after he replied. In a follow-up comment, she revealed that she almost quit 90 Day Fiancé when she found out TLC was keeping Paschel on board despite his past.
She wrote, in part, “My information is based off police reports and factual evidence. I don’t need your fake gaslighting tactics. Yes I mentioned you on a live because I thought it was absolutely disgusting TLC hired someone with crazy convictions. And I almost quit the show because of it. Really gentlemen [sic] of you to threaten me? Just proves my point that you are an evil person.”
