’90 Day Fiance’: Did Rebecca and Zied Secretly Get Married?
Even after the cameras stop rolling, the 90 Day Fiance couples still have plenty of drama going on. Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi’s relationship definitely had its fair share of ups and downs during their season. They ended the season together but unwed. Now, fans are wondering if the two secretly tied the knot recently.
Rebecca and Zied’s relationship
Before Hakimi and Parrot met, Parrot sent Hakimi severely edited photos. So, when she did travel to Tunisia to meet him, he was surprised at her appearance. Though Hakimi was taken aback after meeting her, he still stayed with Parrot.
The two constantly argued about their cultural differences. During much of the season, Parrot refused to dress as Hakimi wanted her to, which caused him to get angry with her and fans to accuse him of being abusive.
“I need to make something VERY CLEAR,” she wrote on Instagram after the show aired. “Zied has NEVER been abusive. Zied would NEVER be abusive. This is dangerous to make light of and it needs to stop now. I understand that the preview was misleading. However the scene in its full entirety was very clear! Zied was apologizing to me and I was the one who pulled away from him. I was angry, not Zied. As an abuse survivor in previous relationships, I would never allow this, and would never make excuses for it.”
“It is never okay to be in any relationship that is even slightly abusive,” she continued. “Reality tv likes to create drama, and did that with the preview. The scene in its entirety, clearly shows Zied was not being abusive in ANY way. Be responsible with your accusations.”
Did Rebecca and Zied secretly get married?
At the end of their season of 90 Day Fiance, the two were awaiting approval for Hakimi to come to the USA.
Fans have been wondering where Hakimi has been for a while now, commonly commenting on Parrot’s posts on social media to ask.
“Where is he?” one fan commented on a drawing of the two. “You guys are definitely one of my favs. I just watched your ‘Where are They Now’ and he got approved! Was so look forward to that for you guys.”
“You guys are such an attractive couple!” another person commented. “Loved you on the show ❤️I hope he can come here and you two will be happy 🙏🏼happy Ramadan.”
“Hey, beautiful miss seeing you and Zied. Prayerful the family is well,” another person said.
Now, according to Soap Dirt, Hakimi has made it to America and has been sheltering-in-place with Parrot during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
For some reason, the two have not announced that Hakimi is in the States on social media. Hakimi must have arrived weeks ago because Tunisia closed it’ borders in March so he would not have been able to travel after that.
The outlet was also able to confirm that the two were married on April 19, 2020, at a hotel in Georgia. They had a religious ceremony, conducted by a priest. The two obtained their marriage documents on April 14th and returned them to the county on April 23.
