’90 Day Fiancé: Don’t Worry Big Ed, Fans Agree You Didn’t Do Anything To Make Yourself Look Good This Season
Ed “Big Ed” Brown has taken a lot of heat during the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Fans have criticized Big Ed for the way he treated Rosemarie Vega, which included making comments about her breath and allegedly using her to gain fame. Although Big Ed has quickly become a villain this season on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, he recently admitted that fans are right about his behavior on the show.
Did Big Ed use Rose and ’90 Day Fiancé’ to gain fame?
In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Rose headed to the airport after giving Ed a piece of her mind. At that point, things seemed pretty hopeless for Big Ed and Rose, and their activity online indicates they did not make amends.
A few weeks ago, Rose slammed Ed for lying to her and only agreeing to appear on the show so that he could become famous. Ed has done multiple interviews over the past few weeks, which Rose believes proves he is gunning for fame.
Big Ed has denied the accusations that he was searching for fame. And in a recent interview, he assured viewers that he really did fall hard for Rose, an argument that has not gone over well with fans.
We cannot say for sure what Big Ed’s intentions were, but there is no denying that he has become a popular topic on social media. Some fans were captivated and shocked — mayonnaise anyone? — by his behavior on the show, while others have started following his every move on social media.
There is no telling how long Big Ed’s celebrity will last, but there is a good chance that TLC brings him back on one of the many 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs.
Big Ed fires back at the fame accusations
In light of Rose’s comments, Big Ed recently addressed the notion that he used the show to gain fame in an interview with Stephen Kramer Glickman on The Night Time Show Podcast. Ed argued that if he was trying to boost his popularity he would not have made so many mistakes in front of the cameras.
“What’s so ironic about this situation is that you look at the show and everybody’s like ‘You did this for fame. All the things you do are just you trying to show off.’ First of all, name one thing I did to make myself look good…I didn’t! That’s who I am. I’m just a natural goof,” he stated.
Big Ed has a point. If he truly wanted to use reality TV as a stepping stone to fame he would have probably tried to look a tad more appealing. This is especially true when it comes to all of the nasty things he said to Rose.
On the other hand, Big Ed’s behavior has made him an instant internet celebrity. Depending on how TLC handles the situation, it could land him more time in the world of reality TV.
Although things are over between Big Ed and Rose, it looks like he will take center stage once again in the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all.
Lisa Hamme slams Big Ed during ’90 Day Fiancé’ tell-all
TLC had to get a little creative for the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all because of the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of bringing everyone back together in the studio, most of this year’s cast — minus banned Geoffrey Paschel — participated in the tell-all via video calls.
Leaked footage from the special shows Big Ed and Lisa butting heads in a big way. The two argued about quite a few topics, but things got particularly heated when Lisa brought up the accusations of sexual harassment.
A woman recently accused Big Ed of harassing her on the job. The woman did not reveal her identity or the specifics of what happened but claims that she worked with him for 9 months.
During the tell-all, Big Ed and Lisa got into a major shouting match, with Lisa eventually calling him a “f***ing pervert” who “has been grooming women.” In response, Ed fired back that Lisa thinks everything she reads online is real.
New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days air Sunday nights on TLC.
