’90 Day Fiancé’: Emily Larina Praises Sasha Larin For Being a ‘Provider,’ Criticizes People In His Past
Fans of 90 Day Fiancé Season 7 weren’t so sure about Sasha Larin’s devotion to his wife, Emily Larina, as their time on the show unfolded. Many viewers worried that Sasha only wanted to be with Emily for a visa, while others worried that he would leave her after they had their son—as he left his previous two wives in his home country of Russia. Others criticized his negative comments about Emily’s physique after giving birth.
But Emily and Sasha have opened up since filming ended about their thriving marriage. Emily recently took to Instagram to defend her 90 Day Fiancé husband once again, praising him for being a good provider to her family during quarantine.
Emily and Sasha drew criticism during ‘90 Day Fiancé’ Season 7
Sasha wasn’t exactly a fan favorite during his time on 90 Day Fiancé Season 7. Many viewers were shocked to learn that he’d been married two times previously, despite being only 27 years old. He’d had a child with each of his wives, making Emily his third wife and the third woman to have a child with him.
On top of that, Sasha’s first wife, Masha, claimed that he was unfaithful to her during their marriage (which he denied). Some 90 Day Fiancé fans worried that Sasha would follow the same pattern with his American wife. Others thought his blunt comments about Emily’s post-baby body, or her sister Betsy McCue’s weight and health, were unwarranted.

Still, Emily has repeatedly defended Sasha against these criticisms. Instead, the 90 Day Fiancé star praises him as a man and provider.
In a recent Instagram post, Emily reflected on Sasha’s COVID-19 scare and praised him for his work ethic. (He was ill, but ultimately tested negative for the virus.)
Under a cute couple’s photo, Emily gushed, “This man is nothing but a provider. He’s been symptom free for 2 weeks, so I suggested we look for temporary jobs for him while the gyms are closed. Without hesitation he said, ‘Yes, of course.’ He’s now working at UPS.”
The 90 Day Fiancé star also praised her husband for working to ensure that his relationship with his sons back in Russia stayed positive. “If there is a barrier to communicating with his sons in Russia, he sends a smartphone so he can talk to them every day,” Emily wrote. “He uses what he earns to provide for us and his family abroad. He takes care of the baby during the day while I work on all the craziness COVID-19 has caused in the HR world.”
The new mom also threw some shade at people in Sasha’s past (most likely his exes) who allegedly talked down to him and insulted him. “When he tells me that the ‘people’ in his past would only speak negatively about him to their family (right in front of him) it breaks my heart,” she wrote in the post.
Finally, defending her husband against fans’ claims that he was too harsh in his comments, Emily wrote: “It also reminds me that if someone comes across as ‘blunt’ it doesn’t mean what they say is true. He is always trying to build a better life and a better future for me and his sons. I love his straightforward, easygoing nature. I love his natural way of being funny and how he can always make me laugh. I love how much he loves me and our son. He may not be perfect for everyone, but he’s perfect for me.”
‘90 Day Fiancé’ fans had mostly positive reactions to the post
Fans of 90 Day Fiancé took to the comments to praise Emily and Sasha’s apparently thriving marriage. Some viewers suggested that Sasha might have been misrepresented on the show. “I am so happy he is proving the way he was portrayed on the show wrong,” one Instagram user wrote under Emily’s post. “I will admit that I was one who thought he was out for a free ride to America but I have since changed my mind.”
Others assured Emily that she shouldn’t worry about negative social media comments as long as her home life was happy. “That’s all that counts. You two are perfect for each other,” one commenter wrote. Another agreed, writing, “You two are amazing! Nobody should be judging you for your relationship. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. To both of you!”
