‘90 Day Fiance’: Evelin Villegas Claims TLC Producers ‘Blindsided’ Her With Jenny
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 3 star Evelin Villegas reveals on her Instagram Story that not only did her husband, Corey Rathgeber, blindside her when it came to Jenny, but so did the TLC producers. Evelin claims that the producers lied to her about how Jenny would be on the show.
Corey meets up with Jenny in person on ’90 Day Fiancé’
On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 3, Corey comes clean about his fling that he had just ahead of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After Evelin wanted a break, Corey went to Peru, where he had a full-on relationship with Jenny. Before coming clean about the severity of the relationship to Evelin, he decided to meet up with Jenny in person to talk about where they stand.
In the meeting, Corey hugged Jenny and told her that he was back together with Evelin and that she needed to move on. This meeting was the first time Corey had seen Jenny since he left her behind in Peru when he flew back to Ecuador to retrieve his things from Evelin’s home. However, because of the lockdown, he was forced to stay there. That’s when he and Evelin began working on their marriage.
Evelin claims that the ’90 Day Fiancé’ producers blindsided her
Evelin went to her Instagram Story on Oct. 22, answering 90 Day Fiancé fans’ questions. One fan asked if Evelin would ever return to the franchise after this season. Evelin said, “I don’t know in the future.” She explained, “I trusted my last producer, and he completely blindside [sic] me, so I don’t know.”
In another post, Evelin explained what she meant by the producer blindsiding her. She said, “I didn’t want to film season 2. I heard about this other woman back in quarantine show. And then, he called me, he introduced himself, he sweared [sic] he promised, [he] said the most he was going to film with her was gonna be a video call.” She asked her producer how he would get in contact with Jenny, and he said, “Oh, we have our ways.”
In the Instagram Story, Evelin captioned her rant: “Of course I’m upset about it because when people give their word, they should keep it. I accepted the video call, not a face-to-face scene. If I knew that I wouldn’t have filmed this season! He lied, and that’s not cool. When I give my word is like signing a contract, I stand by it, but I had learned that a lot of people don’t.”
Evelin says that Corey is ‘weak’ for going with what the TLC producers wanted
Evelin said, “So he lied to me, he put her in there, and I know that he and Corey planned this together, but Corey is very weak.” The 90 Day Fiancé star said that Corey is easily manipulated and that the TLC producer is a “very smart guy” who can make Corey “do things.”
She explained, “Of course it’s Corey’s fault too, cause he put the show and [rating] as a priority. How embarrassing for her to be to be told in camera again to not be waiting for him. And disrespectful for me cause there was no need to meet in person with someone who wasn’t important at all.”
Right now, Evelin and Corey aren’t allowed to talk about their relationship due to the contract they’ve signed with TLC and Sharp Entertainment. It does appear that this will likely be Evelin’s last time appearing on the 90 Day Fiancé franchise due to how she felt about being lied to about Corey meeting with Jenny. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans will have to continue watching season 3 to find out what’s happening with Corey and Evelin’s marriage.
