90 Day Fiancé star Paul Staehle is an interesting guy, to say the very least. He and Karine Martins have had an occasionally challenging ride throughout their relationship, with rumors of divorce swirling several times since they got together. Now, the two are back on a new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, alongside Staehle’s mother, and his son Pierre. During a recent episode, Staehle’s mother let him have it, and fans were living for it.
Paul Staehle was previously arrested for arson
90 Day Fiancé star Paul Staehle might be a little leery of breaking the law these days as a result of his criminal history. The reality television star has previously been arrested for arson.
In 2014, Staehle was found guilty of felony arson for a crime he committed in 2007. It seems Staehle burned down his personal property in an attempt at an insurance scam. However, it’s not entirely clear how long Staehle might have spent behind bars for arson.
According to Starcasm, “The site says he is currently being supervised under shock probation, which means that he probably served a brief amount of time in jail before being released. The site also indicates that his supervision is scheduled to end in April of 2020.” Staehle’s probation ended in September of 2017.
Staehle was also arrested in 2013 for violating an Emergency Protective Order/Domestic Violence Order. On a previous season, Staehle said of the event, “One of the relationships I was in ended so badly, it ended up getting me in some serious trouble.”

During a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé, Karine Martins decided to take baby Pierre out of his car seat because he was squalling. Staehle, who is no stranger to run-ins with the law, started to lose his cool with Martins.
When she removed Pierre from his car seat, Staehle started freaking out. He asked his mother, “Mom, is this or is it not illegal?” He also started to raise his voice at Martins.
Staehle’s mother said to Paul, “Shut up Paul. This is why you can’t live with me.” Staehle exited the vehicle, and his mother added, “He’s such an idiot.”
However, this is not the first time Staehle and Martins have been in a car without Pierre in a car seat, which had some fans wondering why Steahle chose this particular instance to lose his cool.

90 Day Fiancé fans have been getting a major kick out of Paul Staehle’s mother calling him out for his behavior towards Karine Martins.
One Redditor pointed out, “While I don’t condone taking a small child out of a car seat while on the road, Paul’s way of handling this was to put this problem squarely on the shoulders of his mom, who was actually driving the car, and when she didn’t immediately solve his problem for him, he reacted like a 5-year-old.”
Another added, “She is probably past the point of fed up with his crap. I don’t understand why this guy runs away from every tough situation. Like you are in the middle of the road dude, stay in the car. Makes no sense.”
“She and Karine were just like, ‘Yep, dumb*ss is at it again.’ They’ve both seen it countless times, smh,” added another commenter.
On a separate thread, one Redditor pointed out how they were happy to see Staehle’s mother tone-switch to a pleasant voice for Martins. Another user replied, “That was my big takeaway of the night! She is going to be Karine’s fiercest protector here in the states.”
